  1. Ello folks, Long time no see! I've been mad busy with work and other boring crap. Got a new bike though! Traded in my 2017 Triumph explorer Xca for the new Triumph Tiger 1200 XCA. It is a great bit of kit, with an up and down quick shift, TFT dash as well as a lighter engine to name just a few.
  2. My friend is selling his Daytona 675. It's a mint bike which he hardly ever uses as he commutes on his Speed Triple. If interested send me a PM and I'll put you in contact. Bike details : 2011 Currently has 3,500 miles on the clock. 2 previous owners. Arrow under seat exhaust. Full Triumph service history. Mint condition. Located near Blackburn, Lancashire. £5,500
  3. Also Triumph have a remap designed for the aftermarket Arrow exhaust. But it works well on most other cans like scorpion, yoshi etc. Give a dealer a bell for a price if you don't want to do it yourself. It'll be about 50 quid.
  4. Have a ride up and I'll sort it for you Lat.
  5. http://a2bikes.co.uk/browse ER6 is on there. Cheers mate! I've been looking for that!
  6. Sorry, £19.99... https://www.optimate.co.uk/products/tm101-usb-charger
  7. That's the older opti connection. Optimate do one that converts into a USB for the old type and new. They're about £7.99.
  8. I'm not too sure how true this is. But I have been told by a few A2 riders that have been involved in a crash, that the insurance refused to pay out due to the bike not being on the list of approved restricted bikes. All had found kits from aftermarket suppliers, some didn't come with the certificate as well. I don't know where this list of bikes lives, if at all. But I now mention it to people just in case, specially if the manufacturer doesn't list a restriction kit as an original part option.
  9. Piaggio's can be a nightmare with parts. But the best place to get advice from is www.fowlersparts.co.uk
  10. Looks like the garmin wins then! I should have gone with my gut and got a garmin. Always used their gear in boats. There's a new tomtom out, we got a few in work. Will check out if they have fixed any issues.
  11. I used my phone as s sat nav for ages. Started off with copilot but as you couldn't ask it to totally avoid motorways no matter what, I switched to Here maps. It was a good sat nav but then they updated it and it kept crashing. Moved to the Tomtom app and paid for a years subscription. Worked faultlessly and got me to loads of places around the uk. Both on bike and in cars/vans. So I thought I would bite the bullet and buy a Tomtom 410. It's a great bit of kit and had some very good features. Like the choice of great motorcycle rides in the UK and Europe. But... It needs a phone connected to it to get live traffic. This works how it should. However, the phone call quality through the tomtom connected to my schuberth src pro was really dog shit. I swapped the src pro for the sena 10u for schuberth helmets. Was better but still not as clear as having the phone connected to the helmet. Also tomtom doesn't support music being played through it. So, if like me, you like listening to music in your lid on long trips, it's a downer on the system. So, I toyed with the idea of sending it back but really like the ease of the unit. After much searching to find a work around I decided to forget it and get pished. Went to tesco to grab some lubricant for the soul and spotted a smart phone on pay as you go for £25. Bingo! I bought the bike it's own phone. It shares its data with the tomtom and lives permanently under the pillion seat. As my helmet can connect to a sat nav and a phone, I have my phone connected for music and phone calls. This might seem like a ball ache to most of you but I do a lot of miles on the bike so it was worth it for me.
  12. You lot are gold! Thanks for your thoughts, much appreciated.
