Lanceautoman 10
Had to venture out for the first time in 3 weeks in the XJ today to collect shopping. Not been driven much at all this year and the car refused to start and was almost completely flat. Luckily I have an Artek battery starter which sits in the glove box. First time I've had to use it. Connected it up and turned the key and the car burst into life. Excellent bit of kit. I've connected up my trickle charger now. Hopefully after a few hours it'll be fully charged. 24 hours I would think but I'm sure others will have a better idea. The battery is a Yuasa which is only 18 months into it's 5 year warranty so should be fine once charged.

We was out on a ride and a guys charging system went and took his battery with it! I disconnected the charging system and removed the battery and connected one of these up as he had it under his seat and it got him all the way home

Lanceautoman 10
mutton dressed as lamb............Ford mondeo Mine isn't. Getting on a bit now - made in 2003 — but it is all aluminium XJ. Very comfortable family car with Air suspension although fuel consumption is a bit rubbish.
