  1. Thanks guys. I'll look into the hoses, Stu. Are they cheap to buy and easy to fit?
  2. I've got a dremel I was going to buy some wire heads for to spruce them up. Bikes only 3 years old. But commuted on year round!
  3. I've got a few corrosion and rust issues I want to take care of, but not sure what the best course of action is: You can see rust and corrosion here on the brake leaver as well as the fixings on the left. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160921/41c9b1561d7d7f1f576a787d7c9ad06e.jpg More on the brake cables, all cables are in a similar condition: http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160921/e960da663efffccc6502646ad4079461.jpg Any ideas welcome!
  4. Do it! I've been for the past 3 years. Great opportunity to see the latest models too 2 of the 3 years me and my brother in law even managed to scab a couple of impromptu paddock passes. Met Vale, Marc and Cal just to name a few. Highly recommend.
  5. I had never ridden bikes as a kid. Although my dad had a few so was around them. I went straight into DAS with 0 prior experience. Passed my CBT in September and had my full license by end of October. I've now been riding just over a year and am loving it. I am 28 now so I had been driving since i was 17. This helps with road craft, meaning I could think more about me and the bike rather than how to join a roundabout etc...
  6. Hey James, not sure if your still looking but I'm in Nazeing. Fancy a ride maybe this Sunday/next weekend?
  7. Meant to be nice out! Any ride outs in or around Hertfordshire area?
  8. Thanks for the advice and your own experiences all... Happy to say I've done ~200 miles since my post and can confirm all you need to do is ride! The infrequency and bad conditions i was riding in on a brand new bike wasn't inspiring me with much confidence. The sun came out last weekend and we bonded, beginning to feel i can control her a hell of a lot better now. So the best advice is to just get out there, and ride
  9. I passed my direct access test at the end of last year, and have done roughly 650 miles since. I still occasionally stall the bike on hill starts and have general bike control niggles at slow speed, nothing major but just don't feel 100% confident. I compare this feeling to how i feel in a car, I've been driving 10 years so am completely comfortable driving in any situation. On the bike however, i still feel a tad anxious in certain situations. How long did it take others to feel completely comfortable with their bike? Cheers.
  10. Fogging isn't the issue, i have a pin lock installed. Its a case of allowing some air into the helmet without my eyes being blasted.
  11. I have played around with that, it does push the visor forward a little, but not enough to get much air through, plus the ratchet mechanism is still engaged regardless of whether its 'locked' or not. Maybe ill have another play around with it.
  12. Anyone else with this helmet that has managed to ride around with it cracked open just a little? The visor is on a ratchet so i don't have too much control on how much it is cracked open by, if that makes sense. But if i open it as little as possible i just get wind straight into my eyes. Seems i can only open all the way up or close fully. Annoying!
