  1. Cool so is it ok to carry on riding the bike while I'm waiting for the spring to be delivered?
  2. Cheers £2.47, anyone know then how the bike is running without this then? Seems a pretty important part to me
  3. Sorry should have said it's a '99' gsx750f
  4. Hi guys I haven't been on here for a while (sorry for that been very busy with work and moving home), I have an issue with a broken part and I'm not even sure what it is, how it works or how to change it, All I can tell you is the bike seems to be fine (I think) and I found this when changing my front sprocket, it is the spring thing (that's as technical as I can get and I've even read the manual), As you can see I have put a ring around it in the pic, but I found mine to be just hanging and it kept hitting the chain I guess causing a funny noise, So like I said any info guys would be great coz im at a loss? Cheers.
  5. I second that, there's cost to think of as well, you would have buy and insure a 125 then when you finally do your DAS you with have to get rid of the bike (probably make a slight loss if your unlucky) before you can get the bigger bike you want, I pondered over this question for a long time but decided to go straight for my DAS and got my 750 straight away looking back I'm glad, But also like has already been stated each individual is different so you gotta do what you think is right for you (generally speaking though if your intentions is to get a big in the end I wouldn't bother with anything else in between).

    Carb cleaning

Hi guys anyone know of any carb cleaner services in or around the Swansea area, not confident in doing it myself?

    Running very rich

Thanks but I think for now I'm gonna let someone else do all that as I don't want to wreck the bike in the first week of riding it

    Running very rich

Its the standard suzuki exhaust that was on the bike?

    Running very rich

Thanks, I was thinking that the carbs would need to be off and inspected (and more importantly by someone who knows what they're doing)
  10. Thanks guys really excited cant wait for nicer weather
  11. Hi guys I've just started using my 98 gsx750f, before I got on the road I done a full service on it, when I changed the plugs I noticed at the time that they were really cruddy and black, I didn't think much of it at the time because I knew it had been sat for a while and started and stopped a load of times so just put the new ones in (gap checked ok), I've noticed that on start up the exhaust fumes just smell like raw fuel (which I guess you'd get a bit as it's warming up), but even after I get to work or home (40 mins ride) it still smells just as bad, Sorry for the long post but any ideas guys (still very new to bikes so please explain in simple terms for me lol) Thanks!
  12. WooHoo passed my mod 2 first time on Wednesday got straight home insured the bike taxed it and off I went lol!
