  1. Do you need to have a company for that?
  2. Although this doesn't affect me. This article is another demonstration that we live in a country run by people with the brain of a jellyfish..... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-68658209
  3. Issue with Stainless is the chemical reaction with aluminium which will seize them the same and SS quality isn't the best.
  4. I wonder if nickel platting on the new bolts will be a good idea... Any thoughts?
  5. A few weeks ago, while replacing the brakes on the Pan I noticed it just become a bucket of rust During the weekend I tried to remove the fairings. No luck there, most bolts are rusted and won't move. So, order new set of all bolts and plastic fixings for good measure. Just need to find a way to remove the wee rusted things Thinking on the lines of a reverse thread drill where bolts attach to the frame. Not too worried about the ones connecting the fairings. Things going really badly, (as probably will) will need to think about more radical measures.
  6. I use a MOT app that will show the history of the MOT. This would show you how well the guy kept the bike mechanically or if it there were loads of either advisory or fails. Then there are the usual ways to check if the bike is worth. If the bike is running or the engine is hot when you arrive, just run as far as you can. signs of scratches that would indicate the bike has been on the side. things like that. Nothing will say that the owner before the guy you're buying from was a tw@t and never cared for the bike and the guy who owns it now took good care of it, then the history would become redundant.
  7. I'm still planning going but I don't know if by then things haven't change. We are a long time away to know for sure
  8. I really like this guy's work. In here he explains how to apply the paint and he always uses the same trick to add the decals. He uses soapy water so he can adjust the decals and then uses heat to dry the water. https://youtu.be/ZA1gVMtxWuE?si=8tCQSYKZ-YgIudHr
  9. Some cheapish cod liver oil capsules use outdated pil and are as good as not having them. Magnesium can be taken with pretty much any other supplements and have no known side effects
  10. Paint, decals and clear Needless to say that you need proper quality materials including the base, clear can damage paint if not automotive quality
  11. I found that a supplement of magnesium has greatly improved my continuous joint pain
  12. You're not alone on that. Mostly when riding the pan I have to stop to have a rest on my left hand. I sometimes use one of the exercise springs that you squeeze and gets your hand and wrist stronger. It helps a bit but not the cure for it
  13. It comes to mind my 86 shadow 700c The c comes from California which have strick laws for emissions. The difference between mine and the normal shadows is the carbon canister and the emissions control unit. If you look for the service manual for the 86 shadow 700c it will show the paraphernalia of hoses and additional elements for California compliance
