I was out on the bike on Sunday and while sat at a local biker cafe tucking in to my full english I was listen to a couple of youngish lads yapping away about bikes
When one of them came out with a classic!
Have you seen the new ZX6? I'm thinking of getting one it's got 1bhp more than yours so I will be faster
All while he was twice the size of his mate
anyone got any other similar stories to make us chuckle?
I have heard too many to remember

I also spend a fair few days at santa Pod and agree totally.
By the way is there mileage in a TMBF meet at a RWYB day ?
I think it could be fun for those that want to play on the strip and lots of opportunity for piss taking from those that just want to watch.
By the way it can become very addictive lol.
What do you think @Stu ?
Cheers
Ian
I would come and watch!
Pretty pointless sending mine down the strip to be fair

I think if it was a selector fork it would affect it all the time!

Check the side stand switch
it could be sticking a bit and the messing about then putting it in second could have just allowed it enough time to come out
Next make sure the clutch adjuster is set as per the manual and if the worm drive is worn then replace it! these have to be spot on otherwise they cause issues

Yeah eating the food you are cooking won't help!
Start leaving the car at home too!

I thought you had put the weight on to protect yourself from all the falls!
I thought cholesterol was more to do with what you eat and not directly related to weight?

I used a set of oxford ones a fair few times and they was solid!
The trick is to get them nice and tight and lifted up so they aren't sagging and flapping about
I went to Germany on my TL1000s and I didn't even know they was there even at 150mph

Washing the bike does not remove acf50 easily it would take a lot of washes! It's designed not to be washed off
It sounds to me like you have applied too much which is what I do all the time!
Just leave it and wash the bike after each ride and eventually it won't be as bad

@Simon Davey When I had mine fitted it wasn't that high! I put the arms pointing down and tilted the spoiler to be up a bit more than the stick screen
The idea is to create a disturbance in the airflow

Leathers in the cold! thats a no from me! leathers have too many perforations in to keep you cool in summer than in the winter you are just asking for it!
Textiles all the way in the cold with plenty of layers and the heated seat and grips on
20 minutes ago, Copycat73 said:who the fcuk wants to go out on 3°C .... It will feel like -6°C
I went out this morning and it was showing 1.5°c
Well wrapped up and heated seat and grips on and it was fine and a really good 160 mile ride

Yes! Happy birthday to the forum!
That's a lot of years!
I remember the days leading up to setting it up and spending loads of time researching how to get it all going and off the ground! It was then a case of taking the plunge and just winging it! And here we are still winging it today
Massive thanks to everyone over the years past and present who has made it what it is today

I have also added a GPX file for sat nav's with all the locations
If you have a garmin device you can load this with garmin's POI loader
Not sure how other devices would handle it
