  1. Can of chain lube £8, large bottle of cheapo gear oil £3, oil lasts forever, doesn't fling off anymore than spray on lube. Last two chains on mine have lasted 25000 miles. No contest.
  2. Not had a crossed word with my wife for 23 years. (She left me n lad in 1990). Keep meaning to send her husband a thank you card.
  3. The people who buy/lust after these probably close the curtains and entertain themselves over pictures of Susan Boyle, the fact that North Yorks police have a unmarked one is quite telling, as they also seem a bunch of wa**ers.
  4. Not to mention the state of the nanny.
  5. Pub food is ok. Most of these pub/grills have the food shipped in after being prepared in central warehouses from a supplier that sells to most chains/hotels. After being made redundant, I found a job where I had to visit up to 200 restaurants/pubs/hotels a month. Opened my eyes. Even some expensive hotels have bought in food which is frozen, eg even baked potatoes have been pre cooked with cheese and frozen. Sausages ready cooked. Harvesters/Wetherspoons generally are spotless though, and well run unlike some of the chains I'd visited which were shocking.
  6. Jack Russels a breed I hate. Used to get attacked by same one regularly coming home from school. Little ankle biting s**t's.
  7. Coldest spring for 50 years? Will there be any allowances for shrinkage? (males only).

  9. Welcome to the real world. Some of the most dangerous driving I've seen as been by the ECILOP. Speeding? Rules don't apply. I regularly get passed by the ECILOP while out for work, some the same time every day, so obviously not on calls. But woe betide you if you do 4.9mph over the limit.
  10. 70% of all divorces are initiated by women, that rises to 90% of college educated women. why? I visit over 200 business's for a work a month, and have found a lot of bitter men out there, who have lost their homes and a massive chunk of their incomes through divorce, and most aren't abusive ex partners, but you do hear 'she said she didn't love me anymore, we've drifted apart,' but usually have another man already and usually higher up the financial ladder. Regarding children, I've been verbally abused on a number of occasions by women for being the single parent despite my ex not wanting him. (he's disabled so will always be with me). Yes there are women who rightly walk out through abuse (but a lot of women are attracted to that type of man in the first place). I used to work with 300 plus women for many years, and time and time again would see the girls go out with blokes who'd abuse them and heard the comment 'he's nice, too nice,' why they left decent blokes.
  11. Ditto so it's got nothing to do with being a bloke, it's to do with being responsible, financially stable with a pension etc.. My ex was unemployed and had only minimal pension provision but apparently needed enough money for a house so the kids could stay - he actually got more than half the house because he gave up any rights to my pension funds. It took an age to sort because I'd moved out and was living in rented and he wasn't in any hurry to sell up. He's still unemployed and living with his mum nearly 8 years later. He only rarely has the kids to stay (not that my daughter's a kid anymore). I don't thing Bob and me are planning on getting married any time soon but it clearly hasn't put me off a long-term relationship Not getting into a online argument, but sorry, there isn't a 'Mothers for justice.' Generally it is women who file for divorce and in most cases get custody. My solicitor advised me not to even try for custody as he'd lost, and 'his' wife a chronic alcoholic. As it happens, mine didn't want him and has lived the riley ever since. I've found, it's rare these days to find anyone over 40 who's not divorced at some point. Sad state of affairs to get into. Usually it's the children who suffer mostly, if not on the outside, but emotionally.
  12. Not recently, but got financially screwed despite having custody. Seems if you're male you've little rights. See a solicitor, but unfortunately when there's children the man usually comes off worst. My ex didn't want ours but still got half the house and never paid a penny maintenance. Tainted my view so much I've stayed single since. (1990).
  13. Was she very young? Minors shouldn't be on bkes really.
  14. Yep...Once went out with a vegetarian female.. They're even worse. Though I did feel really sorry for her when she left a floater in my toilet. It didn't wanna go no matter what she did.
  15. My mum, dad, brother, sister used to moan at me constantly about bikes being dangerous. They all smoked and are all now dead. Lesson?
  16. Ditto in Leeds. Just need to finish putting bike together, too cold to be fiddling in garage right now. But just needs tank and swinging arm fitting then hopefully good to go.
  17. Had a GS750 back in the day, mate had a identical one. Rode like loons everywhere (ok was younger then and roads empty). Great bikes, great engines. Mate sold his, then bought it back as he couldn't bear to see it being ridden so slowly. Think he's still got it somewhere.
  18. Not mine, but can dream. http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/at-the-garage/motorcycles/
  19. Got some touch up for my RSV here. Perfect match. http://www.bikecolours.com/
  20. Is the company wanting to reduce staff numbers? My last company used every nasty, underhand tactic going to force staff out (this wonderful Government is also now making it easier for rogue employers to get rid of staff). I know unions get slated, but we wouldn't need them if not for bad employers. Citizens advice would be able to give legal advice I should have thought.
  21. Yeh, you've reminded me..Those curtains need altering, that gap in them show's just behind the bed..Well you know what these paps (no not yours) are like, they'll squat there 24 hours a day just for the money shot.Better at this time of year as there's a definate 'Nip' in the air.
