  1. Anyone have or ever had a 2006 - 14 Yamaha mt-03 and fitted a mivv GP black stainless steel exhaust? I acquired one used (no instructions) and can't figure out how to correctly orientate the under seat bracket. Unless my brain is on the blink! I checked the website and can't find anything there either. Any help would be greatly appreciated Dave.
  2. Gave up bike sold. Someone elses problem.
  3. The upshot is that the ybr is a pain in he arse to work on with little back up from previous owners so I got rid of it.
  4. Oh my god I think I just soiled my underpants. This beautiful bike is right up my street. Well done Jono...
  5. Thanks. Ok I've now been using these now for about 2 weeks and although my hands never get really hot they don't freeze either... I used to use Hein gerick evo gloves with generic silk inner gloves and Tucano Urbano muffs to top it all off. I ride very early in the mornings and my fingers from the knuckle down would go completly white and numb! I would have to wait 15 minuets sometimes before I could undo my crash helmet. It felt very strange watching TV with my crash helmet on... Having replaced my inner gloves with the new heated jobbies I no longer have any issues with my hands. So in conclusion knowing what I know now if I didn't already own a pair I would go out and buy them tomorrow. To me they are easily worth the £59.99 I paid. 6. I know where you are coming from on that score. I work permanent 12 hour night shifts with with an hour and a half travel each way.
  7. It was the problem that's for sure. Bought one off fleabay for £29. Just annoyed I couldn't save on fitting charges.
  8. I'm a bit of an Audiophile (vinyl) and like street photography as per the link in my signature.
  9. Tried for 2 months to do it and in the end sent it to the shop. The mechanic almost committed suicide doing it but now it is done. I pity anyone else having to do this. As the mechanic said...What a fekkin stupid design.
  10. Thanks Dave for your review. Most informative during the cold weather that we are having.
  11. Seeing as Jack frost has now arrived on the scene and my pinkies are feeling the cold again I needed to find some way to address the situation. I didn't want to fit heated grips, or replace my all weather gloves and already have muffs in situ so inner gloves seemed to be the answer. The Keis ones seemed to get good reviews so I took the plunge. I fitted the terminals to the battery and left the plug dangling out where the tank meets the seat. Time taken to fit less than 2 minuets. The inner gloves seem well made and fit snugly under my normal gloves. A bit tight but not overly so. I ran the wire up each sleeve and down the back of my jacket between the outer jacket and the inner attached body warmer part. On mounting up I plugged in and set off. All I can say is that I arrived at work for the first time with hands as warm as when I set off... My hands never felt too hot just nice and warm. The result was a much more comfortable enjoyable ride. I just wish I had bought them last year and avoided all that pain and white fingers.
  12. That's what I would have thought but it's solid and won't budge...! not even a smidgen. I fear it will snap if I get too brutal, but I suppose I don't have any choice really...
  13. I bought a new fuel pump for my ybr 125 and proceeded to remove the old assembly from inside the tank. All went well until I tried to remove the cage surrounding the old pump! There are 3 clips (see attached pic) I cannot get these to budge and am wary about prizing out the cage as it's plastic and may crack? Can anyone who has changed one of these before give me the best plan of attack before I go crazy...!!! Many thanks, Dave.
  14. brrian, I feel your pain. Having searched the interweb for this problem I came to the same conclusion!!! It's a known problem but no one seems to know/admit anything about it? I now have to pay public transport £51 a week until it gets cooler...!!! My bike just sits outside my house during the day but starts fine in the morning...!!! In a few months I will have to part/ex my bike in for a newer one. This seems crazy? but no one anywhere has offered a solution? That seems to be the sad truth.
  15. I have been looking on eBay for a few week now and haven't seen one for sale. I'm not even convinced changing the fuel pump will solve the problem as it's actually the petrol vapour heating up that is causing the problem (in my case anyway) £400 seems a very high price to pay for a pump? the bike only cost me £200 so it's not really a viable option. Think I'll wait until it gets colder then part ex it against a new Duke 390 and be done with it.
  16. Does anybody have any ideas whether they improved the fuel pump? I am worried that if I order and fit a new one it will still be affected by hot petrol vapour? Is there a later one that will fit? Many thanks.
  17. I suppose I could try relocating it? I will have to have a look on saturday afternoon when I finish work. I haven't heard of anyone else doing that though?
  18. Thanks klingelton... Another question if anyone knows the answer? Do I replace it with another 2007 fuel pump (assuming it might have the same problem) or do I buy a different model to fix the problem? and if so which one? Thanks.
  19. Last winter I bought a 2007 YBR 125 now the weather has got warm it won't start? I have researched it on the internet and it seems to be a common problem with the fuel pump being effected by expanding petrol vapour. Can anyone else confirm this? Assuming that is the case is it a part that I can change myself? or would it be a job best left to a shop. I am moderately handy with a spanner but have been known to balls things up so it has to be pretty straight forward. Many thanks in advance, Dave.
  20. I had a listen to Liber Magnum and the black knight. Had to get a priest to preform an exorcism on my house... Pretty heavy stuff for an old dude to digest. I'm more of a Melody Gardot man. I also agree about the final mix. I'ts a bit uneven. Keep it up though it's good... Have you ever thought about covering a Carpenters number...?

    HMV

HMV's vinyl has always been priced too high and never included in the sales. Recently a Neil young Vinyl they were selling was £36. I bought it online for £18. Sadly this was the case for all of their records. They cut their own throat.
