  1. lol i see the hole.Im jumping. Its like following the riddler
  2. Its getting deeper 2001, 2006 and 2008 WSBK champion.........that makes 3 1999 BSB champion Im as argumentative as you
  3. You said racers do i said they dont point over. Just admit your wrong as the hole is getting deeper 3 time wsbk champ needs to go to the "Techno Superbike School" The video being a mere example of smooth clutchless downshifts. Not from TOTW Youll have to watch Twist of the wrist i think. And if done correctly does not knack anything.
  4. what like Troy Bayliss Keith Codes Twist of the wrist 2 at 84 in minutes explains clutchless downshifts.quote"Suprisingly easy when you get the timing right with or without a slipper clutch" ">
  5. I dont mind going down the gears either just not 2nd to 1st although i can do it i wouldnt say it was seemless. When you have just the right amount of throttle so the bike isnt pulling or slowing you can select up or down gear without the bike surging or slowing just the revs change up or down depending on selection. I feel its more benefit going up through the gears as you can pin it and just roll off for a split second and pin again
  6. Why dont you offer the bike shop a bit extra so they actually make some cash?Ask them how much to make it worth their while Dont understand how they dont make any money.Surely they charge you for the parts and then for the labour. If your not willing to pay the labour charge they ask then do it yourself.
  7. Just reading this months Ride mag. They were testing 2 piece suits.Impact resistance, stitching and abrasion.I was shocked to see such a bad performance from Dianese. The abrasive test where the leather is mechanically held against a belt sander made mince meat of the Dianese suit. The RST suit withstood alot more as did Hein Gerikes own brand. The best on test was Hideout, but at 800 notes it wants to be.
  8. Mine will read 13-14 at idle and 12.3 standing(no ignition). If your only concerned is when your ignition is on(not started) but it holds a charge and charges,is it not just the fuel pump priming or ecu or lights taking up a bit of power?
  9. cant choose as all the makes are good. I have an Arlen Ness 1 piece(that pictured looks like a 2 piece) and its great but so are the others.Whatever your budget as long as they fit correctly.Tailored BKS wouldnt be cheap but they are very nice. Crowtree,Teknic, berik are all good too. RST is an option if you want to go a bit cheaper. Its the only cheap brand i would consider.
  10. I usually service mine once a year or 3000 mile which ever comes first.(think its 4k in the manual) Basic oil/filter change i will do myself. If its a major service checking shims/valve clearences and other technical stuff ill take it to a garage. It will tell you in your service manual the intervals and type of service.Probably 4k between, which will mean a minor service at 12k oil/filters/break fluid and a major service at 16k.
  11. Holy [email protected] teeth on the sprocket shouldnt be hooked like that.Looks like 20k done on it.In fact its probably never been changed before. Get a chain'n sprocket kit, will be so much smoother. I wasnt aware that there should be a tight spot in the chain, doesnt sound right to me.
  12. Cheap stuff is a false economy as the better more expensive oils will prolong the life of your engine.
  13. Its more of a spur of the moment thing for me.If its a nice day and work is slow ill nip out for a bimble.Crack on with ya DAS mate im sure youll be tagging along. We dont do a full route in one go we always have stop offs to let the others catch up and get some blood back in the fingers.
  14. Drumnadrochit Lodges google them, run by Allen and Agnes Spence they have about 6 lodges up on the hill side over looking Loch Ness all 4 star s/c.We paid £100 each for 3 nights.Didnt fancy lugging around camping gear.Somewhere to come back for a shower and chill was worth the money especially after the 12hr second day ride.
  15. Not so much a quality issue more a usage issue.Any fabric will click and fray if you rub it back and forth along a velcro strip.
