  1. Disregard; i had a go and I've made it worse. It's going to a garage
  2. HI there, A few weeks ago my tail tidy decided to snap in half, which is far from ideal.. Anywho, I've bought a new tail tidy but didn't take into account having to remove and replace the electronics. I've been unable to find a wiring diagram in the Haynes manual I have, just to check through, but the wires are all obviously there and it's just a case of (I think?) having to cut the cable in order to remove the old bulbs through the tail tidy. i've ordered a set of these connector rated at 5 Amp. Will this be enough? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/High-Quality-Connector-Strip-12-Way-Block-3-5-10-15-30-60-Amp-Electrical-Wire/132358819204?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=431687060451&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2648 I've asked my local bike guy, £100 for it fitted but I think I could give it a go myself; just want to make sure the electronics will be ok and not start melting the bike.
  3. Parents have Bt Wifi- so naturally we have BT Sport which is brilliant for Moto GP, Champions League football and Premier League football. I use NOW TV to watch sky sports, and signed up for £19 a month for 10 months. I was going to sign up anyway for £30 a month but just before i did this deal popped up so i'm relatively content with what I pay
  4. I always use Shell V power.. My SV didn’t like supermarket fuel and for an extra £1-2 to fill up I may aswell use v power on the bike. To be fair only a BP and She’ll between home and work anyway Always used shell in the 340i but not V power; full tank of V was close to £90. It’s gone now anyway so it’s irrelevant.
  5. Will be doing The puncture is too significant to obtain full(or anywhere near) the full 36 PSI but I can get it about half inflated. The tyre shop imm taking it to is literally a mile up the road and I’ll be taking it gently to get there.
  6. Nope, i missed last years unfortunately Might watch it tonight actually on BT player on my night shift But i take your point
  7. For those wondering, i had no chance of bump starting. I struggled to get any real amount of speed up due to the flat rear tyre Since then I've bought a new battery from halfords which having had the acid added is now charging for another 20 hours or so before i try and boot the bike up tomorrow.
  8. Gurd evening all. A mate and I have managed to get some time off in November so we’re going to try and get out to the Valencia Moto GP. Neither of us have been before, be that Valencia nor Moto GP so looking for any advice that people have regarding seating, hotels and costs, transport in and out, flight costs, anything that could be of use. We’ll be looking to fly from Manchester most likely, on the Thursday to then stay and attend Fri Sat Sun and then flight back Sun night or Monday. Cheers!
  9. Looking to attend this but haven’t even begun to put things in place; ie camping
  10. Thanks gents, will see how it goes
  11. Never bump started before although i think my dad has done it to mine and apparently it was difficult but managed it. Will give it a go either tomorrow morning or tonight after work....midnight or so ... How to bump start? Put it in second, with clutch obviously pulled in, push and build up speed then release clutch and press start button at the same time?
  12. No idea, i just got a phone call saying it was on it's side did I want it standing up. Currently I don't have the tools at work to remove the seat, and don't have opportunity to get them from home. It's still on charge now; if it doesn't start tomorrow morning then I'll have to phone breakdown and/or go and buy a set of allen keys to keep here. What sort of signs should i be looking for to see if the electrolyte has leaked out?
  13. Tried to start it and failed. I think the battery is dead because it’s been stood for 3 weeks while I’ve been at home(Bike lives at work) disconnected lights but still not starting. Ignition starts up fine and it primes, but when I press start switch it turns over but doesn’t.. ‘catch’ sorta thing. It was blown over in the wind over the 3 weeks, but I am right in thinking it’s low battery aren’t I? Or could it be something potentially caused by the topple over. Plugged into optimiser and it’s currently showing 11.8v which I find concerning as I’d expect it to start with that much.. that said, it would explain why ignition boots without a problem but not enough to start up. Once it starts up, I then have to take it gently a mile or so down the road to get a new rear tyre because of a puncture Keep telling myself this could have happened with any bike.. Though it doesn't help the fact like i'm falling out of love with it recently Not a good day in the slightest I wanted to get the puncture sorted today as it’s 9 degrees and sunny tomorrow, which would be perfect to get the new tyre scrubbed in
  14. So, couple of weeks until my first track day (june 3rd (or 4th?) at Oulton Park Novice Only day, followed by a day at RAF Benson on the airfield on July 15th New front tyre last week which has been scrubbed in but getting a little nervous to be honest
  15. yeah a friend suggested RST; although his set was £500. I don't want to spend any more than £250 to be honest. Tight, yes, but doable I may also try on a set of RST tomorrow so i know what size I am and could potentially order the one you've linked Quick question. If I'm gonna be trying on suits tomorrow etc. they may seem comfortable while wearing them not on the bike. If i buy them and then they're not comfortable is it a case of tough ****? T's&C's say you can exchange for basically store credit which should be fine, but just concerned What have any of you done in the past?
  16. ok that's great Thanks :)Otherwise I may have been turning up to a track day in the wrong stuff and wasting my voucher May head down to J&S tomorrow and see what they've got in
  17. Does a full zip cover the entire circumfrence? We have an old pair of trousers which are too big for me, they have a zip about 6" long on the rear, so this is obviosuly one of the short zip's you're referring to It's an MSV trackday so i think it covers bEdford, Oulton Park, Donington, Brands and Cadwell Park. Due to location, I'm thinking Oulton Park or Donington; Oulton Park is a very regular destination for a ride out, and my dad has donea few there so it'd be nice to do Oulton I think .
  18. So i've got a track day Voucher for Christmas Currently don't have any leathers; only textiles so i'm gonna have to get a set of leathers for track day. A question regarding 1/2 piece suits. Am i correct in thinking that 2 piece suits are fine, but they must attach together through a zip to ensure they don't come apart if you come off? For example, this jacket and pair of trousers would be fine? https://www.jsaccessories.co.uk/buy/Frank-Thomas-FTL400-Leather-Jacket/2748.htm https://www.jsaccessories.co.uk/buy/frank-thomas-ftl401-leather-jeans/2750
  19. Evening all, Looking for someone who's breaking a Pointy SV650/SV1000(assuming the parts are exactly the same) Needing the tail fairings of both sides. Price obviously dependant on condition and whether postage required or if pick up is available etc. so let me know if you've got anything Thanks
  20. Been used while on my A2 for the past 2 years. Looking for £50
  21. get fully faired then personally I would get the SV over the bandit In the end I did do, got my fully faired Black SV650S at the end of February, love it
  22. £79 for September 5th at Anglesey. just thought maybe some of you would be interested I'm definitely getting the itch to get out on track
  23. parents are buying me a rear paddock stand for my bike (Sv650 no centre stand) but not sure which are good. It will need to work with bobbins as they are already fitted Not wanting to spend more than £40-£50
  24. for the Mod 2 before setting off, every single time I'd check both shoulders. Why? I have no idea, it stopped literally once i got my certificate and i was on the way home. But for test purposes, do them and make sure you get your certificate
