  1. Lol, yes. They are two 10 amp fuses inside, same as the official specs
  2. I see what you mean, however I mixed the fuses around while I was changing it and there was no pattern of them getting blown out after being swapped
  3. Hello, My headlights and taillights have suddenly stopped working yesterday on my way home. All the other electronics are fine. I changed the fuses this morning (except the main one), but the situation is the same. I imagine it might be something to do with the system that switches on the lights automatically when the bike is started up. Any advice what it could be. I'm sure it's something blatantly simple, and I would prefer to fix it myself rather them pay £50 to a mechanic for a 2 minute job
  4. Hey guys, So recently I had my 2011 Honda cbf 125 stolen. The police managed to recover it, which is great, however the thieves hotwired the bike and left it like that, which drained the battery. I'm looking to fixing it up now, my question is, if I buy a cheap trickle charger from eBay, will it be able to revive the battery. Also I've been reading online about how to fix the hot wiring, and I've read that soldering the cables back should do the job. What do you guys reckon?
  5. Ok, so sprocket stays the same What about the chain, how safe are the cheap non brandedones
  6. Ok, so from what I read, I defenetly need to change the chain then. I would have two questions then: 1. I'm planing to keep the bike for only another 8-9 months and about 1000-1500 miles (gonna get a full licence), so I really don't want to spend money on an original honda chain. I saw unbranded chains for £15-20 on Ebay. Will these do? what should i go for to keep the budget low, but make sure it lasts me that 1000 miles. 2. If I'm at it, I'm also thinking about changing the sprockets size, so that it gives me more speed. Would that be worth it? What are the downsides? Also, if i keep riding for another week or so, is it fairly safe with the chain being so uneven.
  7. Hi guys, I have a Honda CBF 125 that has around 1500 miles on it. I'm trying to sort out the slack in the chain for the first time since I bought it (300 miles ago ). cleaned the chain with a cloth and lubed it with castrol, but for some reason the slack is still very uneven. On one side it's less then an inch and the other is more like 3" The sprockets look fine, and with such low mileage I don't believe the chain could have worn out. What am I missing?
  8. Thanks for the reply guys. It haven't done it since then, so I'm not sure what the issue was. I did refuel after, but it took only 8L which means that there should have been another 4-5l left inside
  9. Lol I've meant oil change I've checked the fuel level and it seems to me that there is at least another litre inside.
  10. Hello, I recently bought a 2011 honda cbf 125, with only 1000 miles on board. The bike is in perfect condition, but being so new it has never been really serviced by the previous owner, excepting fuel change a month or so ago. It was perfectly fine for the first 50 miles but, today while I was riding the engine started cutting out. Basically if I put it in neutral it idles fine, but if I start reving it, at around 5k RPM it just stops reving, even though I'm holding the throttle, goes back slowly to zero and dies (all this standstill an neutral). If I leave it for 5 minutes with the engine switched of, it works fine, but then I've got it up to 3rd gear and the bike started jerking, as if I was letting go and pulling the throttle, even though I was holding it constant. My first thought would be that it's the sparks, but then again, if it is the sparks, leaving the bike standing for 5 minutes, shouldn't make the situation go away. Any suggestions would be appreciated. thank you
