  1. Hey, Its been a while was only around a short time when I first signed up many years ago last post Dec 13 so been a good 7 years......wow, but as of last week have bought a new bike, a Honda CBR650R and loving life and had to come back and find you guys again Its been a interesting few weeks kind of re learning everything as only rode for less than 2 years and then nothing for maybe 5-6 years but all comes back to you quick enough but been very slow and steady just getting used to it all again. But yea though I would just just say hi
  2. Hey thanks guys, cork and rag trick worked well, no oil spilt at all this morning, who needs a actual dipstick
  3. So got off the bike at work this morning and had oil all over my right foot and abit on the bottom of my textiles...Same happened after i got the bike home this evening. So had a look and it seems like my dipstick is missing?? Not quite sure how this has happened do they work themselves loose? I've only had a quick look and it was dark so might not be the issue but im sure it is. Does that should like it should be the problem? Now what would you use a replacement untill i can get a new one, Was thinking of just shaving down a cork a little and using that as a bung for the time being do you think that would do the job? or is there anything else you can suggest? Should hopefully be able to get one after work tomorrow as have a halfday so it really is just a temporary fix for the morning, as dont really want to turn up at work walking oil through the building again :/ haha
  4. I'm a office admin stoner........what does that mean for me then...
  5. Same helmet as mine, again first one I have owned but not had any problems with it and it has the judge dreed flip down shades built in so what more could you want lol. Seems a bit windy at high speeds 90+plus but I have nothing to compare that to.
  6. I wish I could say something in defence to this Haha me too, so I'm just going to keep quite now :/ lol
  7. Yea strategy games are my all time favorites, can't beat abit of C&C, used to love tiberian sun when that came out. If they could redo a classic like that I would probably never get off it. Age of empires was another good one although it was always to tempting to get a couple of cheats on the go and cruise around in a black car destroying everything lol.
  8. Not played the old republic, take it it would be worth getting then? I do love and am abit of a geek when it comes to anything star wars, startrek, stargate so probably my sort of game.
  9. Runescape now that is old school, haven't played that for many years but have wasted a lot of time playing that game in the past. Mine, mine, smelt, mine mine, chop, chop, fire, chop, chop. Was how alot of my time was spent lol. Only games I really play now are football manager and minecraft although I try not to play that cos I just never go to bed when I do and up to stupid hours doing stuff that is pointless when I should be sleeping.
  10. Just sent a donation your way. Not a big poster here but I do spend alot of time on here reading through posts (have to get through work somehow) So thanks for keeping me sane.
  11. I passed this morning with no minors. It was a bit windy today but didn't even notice it when the test started. Best advice I was given was just stop and think before every maneuver as when we were practicing I was rushing things abit much. So just think it all through in your head then move away. So I backed the bike in the space. Went inside and sat down for a bit then went and had a fag to calm the nerves . Got called in to the room with the instructor who was very nice and friendly. Checked all my paperwork and explained a few things then out to the bike. Just listen to everything he has to say, they do make everything very clear. then on the bike start it up and he signals me through the gate. Remember the shoulder checks and through I went. Started getting nervous now. He tells you to turn round using as much space as possible and to park in one of the bays. Ok not a problem shoulder checks, chucked a lifesaver before turning just for good measure and in the right one. In to neutral and off the bike. Then the manual handling. Off the stand turn round and push the bike back a bit look where you want to go and full lock and the bike should go nicely in to the space which it did lol. Then the slalom and figure of 8, felt like the figure of 8 could of gone better but no feet down or cones hit. Then the slow ride with instructor walking behind. Then he told me to turn round and meet him in the middle and explained the slow ride it's not speed checked but said they are looking for around 20mph and stop between the cones. Then the fun bits controlled stop which I went through at 62kph. Round the corner at about 20 mph then as you start to straighten out just pin that throttle back in 2nd and won't have a problem with the speed then throttle off squeeze the front brake and a little bit of back brake and came to a nice stop then the same again just with a swerve. Look for the outside cone then back to where you want to go nice and easy went through that at 58kph then come to a stop at the cones. He will then tell you to ride towards the exit gate and to pull over in one of the spaces remember the lifesaver before turning for the parking space, get off and follow him in. Now for the mod 2 on Wednesday same again please.
  12. The 3 Dicks that were all driving BMWs that decided to crash in to each other this morning on the motorway causing a serious traffic jam and making me miss my mod 1......NOBS of the fing year for me!!
  13. There's seriously noting to worry about, not really painful at all, its just a irritating scratchy feeling for the whole time but completely bearable but then again it does depend where you get it anything on the ribs is a killer or down the spine but arms, and legs and such not a problem.
  14. The new ones are worth a watch not amazing but not terrible.
