  1. Had this bike few years ago, sold it, got it back dont look as good lot more work to do now, this is how it used to look.   2. Hi. Yes know which one you mean, a lass you to run that ar50, bloke who sold the other ar50 tuned the one that did the winning. He also sold a white conti, with blue wheels think it is. Just about done a honda gp125 with the derbi engine fitted. Just got wheels and body work away at painting at min. lee
  3. I wont be going to quick on it, as checking make sure all is fine with the bike, and the bike should be quick but i wont be lol. Good idea, lets get a poll up, im able to do any date also. lee
  4. Hopfully we could sort a date out and track as cant wait as will be my 1st ride on my bike i built, aprilia rs125, with a rotax 257 engine fitted, around 65bhp and 80kg in weight, so can guess going to be fast, should be fun lol
  5. Ya they doing racing, think they did or still do, do track days also. Joined there club last year as they wanted to run a cb500 class, went to watch, grids were not very big, didnt get much of a nice vibe round the paddock, also emailed them as said would when had a chat with them about ideas for the 500 class, twats never got back in touch so fuked them off lol.
  6. Im up for it, sort a date out soon enough so can make sure bike going to be ready. Im happy at cadwell also 1.5 hours from me or happy at Donington. lee
  7. Ya not cheap one bolt cost just over 10quid and the cheapest was 95p which was a m5 washer. I have tryed then that got some very long bolts 255mm but i want it 200mm but they carnt mod it for me. Thanks chaps. It will be slow going for a bit as waiting on around 5 weeks for splindles and bushers. Hoping by end of feb will all be done as a rolling chassic then will on to buying a engine and tuning the fuk out of it. Getting a ali rad made with built in gap after xmas and a ali clock/front body work stay and rear subframe, they will save alot of weight. For the aprilia rs125 you get get a set of SP wheels which are mag. They are around 2-3kg lighter then stock wheels after a set of them but very hard to get. thanks lee

Little update (22.12.14) Got my frame back from been vapour blasted, good service found bloke on ebay, only 20mins up road, and turned it round in 1day £80 for frame and swing arm doing, most places ask £40-£50 just for a set of engine cases doing, Just got to rub it all down and polisher it up, dont think will be much left of my hands by time i done it. Also i was not happy with the forks from the bike, so went to bike breakers down road from me Motobreakers, His lad dose a few races in BSB James or Jimmy Rose. Also got front wheel splindle as threads on mine was not very good, also bottom yoke as i damaged mine £110 laster, Took all bits for plating and polihing, looking at around 5 weeks for them so wont get owt done till they come back. Orded some head stock bearing and frame rubbers, for seat unit and top chain slider Also got my self 118 items of titanium, £245 later Think there will still be around 50-70 items still to get, want the spindles making and engine bolt but cant find any were to do them, any one know a place? Got all bolts for shocker linkage, but one bolt had to be a 1.25 thread so just got nut to match which will be fine.   9. Please note this was written on the 17/12/14 Was working on the bike till 11:30pm last night (16.12.14) sorting stuff out so can get it to were it needed to go today. I have taken some bits for P C Sorted 8 Bags out items out for plating and polishing, didnt manage to take them today, hopfully get there friday. Took my forks to bike shop i use, they have small pits on them he said will clean them up, but im unsure if to get legs rechromed and get the legs and top legs gold anodised for the ohlins look. Also took my wheels to this bloke to remove tyres and remove rear disc as bolts started to round off, he going to stick bit of heat on them to get them out. Took my frame and swing arm to be vapour blasted on the inside so will look new on the inside and i will make it nice and shiny on the out side. Been in touch with a bloke, for titanium bolts, nuts and washers, written them all down what i need for each part of the bike so far and need 118 items, there will be more once i start on the engine and few other bits. Also rang a company up who makes frames and other ali parts, spoke to him about making me a ali subframe and clock bracket, told me to go down after xmas with what im after making so will be doing that Thanks

Hi, Well few month back i was building a road one of these and had two cb500 race bikes well all 3 of them bike have sold, sorted my self out and now wanted another project just for me as my 500s was to do with my dad and with him having one of my 500s then selling it due to use falling out, want to get on track on my own.   11. Looking at a 1989 fitted with a 26mm carb but dont know if that will be the same modle as yours. It would be a crack i have had 2 cylinders cracked due to water been in them. lee
  12. Hi. Well on a 1990 af1 it is fitted with a 34mm carb, dont know which year yours is thow. Will run fine with any of them just quicker with the 34mm carb fitted. lee
  13. Looks like your going to have loads of fun with that build. Im just on with building a aprilia rs125 for track use. The 2 carbs you have one a 34mm delly and thr other a 28mm delly, the 34 is a upgrade but some early bikes did come with a 34 fitted from new, would have to look on the web for your year of bike and see what the spec was for the carb.   14. Is that you on the red jawa? Lovely looking bike. Im working on a honda gp 125 with the derbi engine fitted at the min. The ar50 number 146 one with blue frame. I have worked on that few years ago as it was blokes i worked for bike, it was a lovely bike and fast. Also a white conti 50 aswell what built at my job few years ago also. Think the class will take off next year. lee
  15. I find it sore to walk for a few days after, i think its all about been bike fit, even thow im 23 years old my like are sore each day with work, but when i was racing week in week out around 6 years ago i was fine, but coz i been of a bike so long im sore the day after lol. lee
  16. I think can do a track day all in 200quid, know lads on cb500 that buy a 2nd pair of tyres for 50quid and will last them the year. 200quid will not even pay a race entry. On my cb500 when i raced cost me around 1500quid for a weekend thats with a track day befor brought 2 new sets of tyres 130set when they was cheap. And time of work for me and father, fuel food. And would not even get 1hr track time for that, i think track days are cheap, do a race weekend and you will fuk it of str8 away if you think track days are dear. lee
  17. Looks a good race class, belive this will take over. I have just got a honda rs125, with a derbi 50cc engine, but at min got a 70kit fitted. Going to be stripping it down and doing full rebuild on it as needs bit of work doing. Lee

Hi, Well i was at Cadwell on this on the 19th and what a shit day i had, Was wet and dry in places so stuck my fuked wets on lol, did 3 sighting laps on them, then changed to drys and waited a bit for it to dry out but was still damp in places, there was a few other cb's there think about 5 in total, soon as i went out 3 of them passed me and made me look slow lol, Next time out it was about fully dry, for this track day i had a new exhaust made as my old was was grinding round the old hairpin, this one was just as bad, doing it in 2 diffrent places, so this pissed me off, put a downer on my day, so swaped for my other pipe around dinner. Went out and starting to feel better not as quick thow as i was when i was last there which is not what i wanted to do. Near the end of day i had a camera fitted by a bloke in the paddock 10quid for 30mins, went out battery was flat, so went out again, did some good over takes few round out side going in to all bends as close to grass as i could get,said sorry to the people when i got passed them thow, the bloke cut the video short and it sounds all wrong to were i am and only plays on my laptop, so never use him again. I manged to see another cb in the afternoon, caught him up and flown str8 past him in a str8 line, and both bikes are stock lol, thats twice i have done that . Asked my dad how fast another bloke was on the cb, he said about on par with me, but after watching the blokes video i was around 2sec quicker, even thow i have gone 7secs quicker round cadwell befor. Bloke who made my new exhaust took it to him on way back from cadwell and he has sorted it for free and also sorted my other for free so top bloke, unsure at the min if to do Donington with thundersport gb, or do another track day at cadwell or oulton, as need to give the bike a good check over and dyno as felt there was some thing wrong with the bike at end of the day. Im on with building another cb, just been doing a dry build with it has made a few stuff out of ali, trying to save weight, just got few more bits to sort out and that could be a spare bike for when im out next but next few weeks will start a indepth build thread on that.   20. Ok Ken that is no promble, Thanks for picking my bike. Hi, Been doing few bits on this, along with sorting bits out on my other befor i strip that for rebuil. At cadwell on the 19th, cant wait just hope its dry.   24. This is open pit lane never done one be for going to try be out as much as i can though the day this is with no limits this timd as bettet only 109 quid think it was. Was going to do oulton or donington but like 50quid more stuff that lol. lee

It was not to bad could of been worse, 1st session i was defo ready for packing up, they give you 3 sighting laps then pull you back in, then let you back out think i got to barn corner and it was red flagged again and there was no crash. I then pulled in and was going to fuk the session off but dad told me to go back out and did 2 laps. After 1st session its was not so bad think 2 more my sessions got red flaged one i think was not needed as seen were the crashed bikr was waved yellowa would be good enough apart for som dick over took me were the crash was on full pace which is not allowed. They also put me in the fast group asked for inters, didnt like it at 1st but after a few sessions getting held up round bends, and trying to over take the bigger bikes they didnt seem to like it, i went on inside of few to out brake them and they seen me and just let brakes of which made me just miss the back of them when they pulled back in front of me going in to the bend. All in all not a to bad of a day apart from 1st session and few riders been *****. Would do one again thow, which think i am on 10th aug as its on a sunday. lee
