  2. Don't worry about it the Mod 1 shit is the hard bit now your just going out for a ride, as long as your safe and don't do anything stupid you will be fine
  3. If it helps I used to half the distance when I was practicing and it didnt take to long to master, then when test day arrived the distance was doubled and I though I could do it in an arctic was very easy.
  4. Personally mate think of a naked bike you like then look into the pros and cons of it and see if its right for you everyone will have any opinion on what they do and dont like but that doesnt mean thats what you think. For me I dont like naked bikes but thats my choice, go with what feels good to you fella but test ride as many as you can first.
  5. Well if the weather is good Deso lets make a day of it again
  6. Just relax mate and enjoy the ride, observe all road signs and make all the relevant checks, don't go over the speed limit and you will be fine.
  7. I had the baby Vara as well number1barber whilst I was learning, it was black on an 09 plate lovely bike and a big size defo doesn't look like a 125, enjoy it and ride safe mate
  8. Congratulations Kirium I did the same in the same sort of conditions, only slightly but it did happen and the examiner said due to the conditions and I was in control it was ok but if it had happened in the dry it would be an instant fail.
  9. Hey Kim don't give up you will get there, what part of the country are you in if you don't mind me asking there maybe someone nearby that will give up some time to help you, I will if your anywhere near the Grimsby area.
  10. Well done mate like Glorian says the mod 2 is loads easier
  11. When I did my mod 1 it was £180 for a days training then the test the next day if you failed it was another £110 for the test fee, the bike hire and the instructor for as long as it lasted. After that mod 2 was £280 for a days training and then the test, not sure about re-test fees as I know mod 2 is more expensive, I think in general the test centre charges around £15.50 for mod 1 and £75.00 for mod 2 anything over that is going to the training school.
  12. Good Luck Glorian, Just relax and forget words like Test, Examiner, Pass or Fail after a few mins the initial nerves will settle and you will get in the zone of relaxing and enjoying what your doing. As KD79 says remember to turn your head when checking your mirrors so the examiner sees you do it, and keep an eye on the road signs my examiner tried to trick me by saying 'take the next available right turn' knowing the first was no entry. In our area they always take you past a school to see if you notice the speed change so keep an eye on those signs. Most of all be calm and just ride like you know you can
  13. OK acting_strange I will look out for you on the day and introduce myself

  15. Hey Guys, Just after everyones opinion here before I place an order I am about to order a new helmet and I'm currently looking at a Shark S600 reduced from £249.99 to £119.99 in the sale, I realise that the SHOEI helmets are apparently the best but out of my price range, I have also been told by people that wear them that the ARAI helmets can let in a lot of win noise. Are the Shark helmets any good or has anyone else any good suggestions to look at ??? Regards Stan.
  16. That's a positive start then scaredylady it sounds like the new school has a lot more interest in you already, we have a riding school near where I live and all they seem to be interested in is money they told me I would be looking at around 6 months to get my licence I went to a new riding school only 15 miles away and passed everything within 2 weeks , you go to your new school with a positive frame of mind and a clean slate, forget everything that has happened in the past and just go with what your instructor tells you. I really do admire your determination to pass the CBT and can't wait to see you post on the forum that it's all done and dusted, god damn it I will even go to say that I will pop for a ride with you as well and I will get Deso to pop with me
  17. Got mine back yesterday only took 8 days from sending off to getting it back
  18. Don't worry about it everything will fall into place when you are on the road it's more exciting than scary when you get out there . Just take your time and remember to cancel your indicators or they will tell you off
