I have both. I replaced the Yamaha OEM grips with Oxfords as they were a bit puny. I also have Keis G601 gloves which keep my hands nice and warm. -

It needs to be grease free, some cleaners can leave a residue, you could do worse than after the cleaner a wipe over with soapy water and thoroughly dry it.

The problem lies with twats that don't know their own language. I am now out of this conversation.

I do make allowances for people whos first language is not English but come on is it too much to expect a native speaker to be able to speak and write in their own language. If that makes me a twat then fair play.

As long as you only put it in the barrel it won't be making any electrical connections.

You are correct the splines on the rear drive would not see any weather.

Any form of liquid lubricant will be fine at first, but as dirt dust and grit get attracted you are back where you started. To clean out the liquid lubricants use a good squirt of aerosol degreaser or contact cleaner, wait for it to dry then use my previously suggested powdered graphite or wax or PTFE spray.
