  1. im 5"8 and manage on it just fine there is also a dropped seat option
  2. Yep - i have 328 pics, and 3 hours of GoPro Greg on the TL1000S has had it since new - think its a UK S reg origonally, though now on french plates. Lots of custom parts, Z1000 cans, straight raised bars, tweaked engine - goes and sounds fantastic..
  3. Hi - im 4 hours into a new half sleeve, and had 3 lazer removal sessions on a 20 year old tattoo first. I had a tribal black thing, pointless, thats what happens when your 17 and want to rebel.. 3 sessions, lasted no more than 5 mins each session, yes it burns a little, left NO scarring at all.. now the new ink is over it and you cant see a thing. 3 more sessions of shading and detail on the 22nd and then i will be all done. Been wanting this for the past few years, so for me getting the removal was all part of the journey. WARNING however - do NOT get lazer removal from a back street tattooist shop. Most of these places use cheap lazers from China that have very little monitoring, have they been serviced? what trainig has the tatooist done etc etc.. these are the places where people often get burned and left with scar tissue. Go to a proper health centre with the NHS funded machines (you can still make a private appointment). These machines are about £250k each, serviced monthly, and operated by trained professionals. Cant stress that enough, as I know of a few back street horror stories.. I can fully recommend Jooli at this place... Superb http://www.nclp.co.uk/
  4. Hi.. thoughts id add to this too - as I have been a proud new Mult owner for 3 months now, and covered over 3000miles on her. Ducati Manchester did me a great deal on a new 1200S Touring, in Frozen Chrome - or matt silver to you and me.. In short - she is superb, in every way... i totally love her.. (and have ridden dozens of other bikes).. I have the 2014 1200S Touring model, so it came with panniers and heated grips, as well as the new skyhook suspension (repaces the previously silky smooth Ohlins). As a new bike I got £1000 of free Ducati accessories, so added a top box for europe trips, and a Termi carbon can (looks lovely). As you said, I think the riding modes work very well, and do find myself changing the settings whilst out and about, something I didnt think i would do. Generally the bike is in touring for me, and then urban when in the cities, as the urban mode just soaks up potholes, speed bumps, cobbles etc, like they are not even there. The Sport mode... wow.. turns this beast into a sport bike killer - it really does unleash a superbly mapped 150bhp of easy to access power. None of my "sport bikes" friends can loose this thing on the twisties. Bad Bits...: Tyres So Im not 100% sure of the standard Scorpian Trail tyres - they do warm up nicely, and proved themselves well in the French alp twisties, however in the cold wet days they are a little uncertain. Ive only used the Enduro mode for 3 miles of forest trail - and it felt ok, but its no enduro bike - and a GS would outperform this bike on offroad easily - however i didnt buy it for its off road capabilities. Pegs Ive scraped both the break lever and the gear pedal whilst in france, both of which made me crap my pants as I didnt realise I was that far over. The bike handles deceivling well - and you can get some pretty mean lean angles from her, however the break pedal and gear shift shouldnt hit thr ground first IMO - it should be the foot rest!? bad design maybe? Seat Height Ok so I am a short arse at just 5ft 8 - however the seating position at first felt too tall for me, and i nearly parted with some dosh for a lower seat - however, i have got used to it totally now. I have no issue at lights, and just slide over to 1 side and stand flat footed with 1 foot. However it is a problem for me if I have to back the bike out, reversing for short people on a saddle this high is impossible. I do as much bike manovouring from standing, using the bars and pillion grab to move the bike, before lepfrogging onto the saddle Summary - its the mutts nutts. Not cheap to buy - but makes me smile every time i start it up!..
  5. New to forum, but felt i had to share what a great trip im just back from.. In brief - Hull to Zebrugge on the boat... ride through: Belgium, Luxembourg, French/Swizz alps, Mt Blanc, Monaco, Lake Annecy, over the Col De L'Iseran... and then home.. 6 of us on the trip Me on my Multy TL1000S BMW 1000S, R Ducati 1200 monster Buell 1125 (loved that thing) Honda VFF1000 (old bike, but ridden well) Ducati SuperSport I have a ton of amazing pics and videos taken from gopro on the Ducatis Supersport - and rear facing off the TL1000... will post some pics and route shortly. It was totally well planned, involved no toll roads, and some incredible scenery. A lifetime of wanting to trip through Europe finally happened, and im still buzzing despite being back home, and facing moving house and divorce.. lol... Right... now to figure out how to post pics!..videos etc.. ">
  6. i was planning on it - with a mate on his KTM adventurer.. good day out
