  1. Yep, it means no bike for the weekend and had to find my way back from the shop with no bike. Happy with it being sorted though. Cheers for the help all.
  2. Good news! The bike will be staying in over the weekend but the chain and sprockets are being replaced FOC.
  3. Well I'm taking it down this afternoon, hopefully I won't have any issues getting down there. £60 is not so bad, but would prefer £0!
  4. The shop that I bought it from have been helpful since I got it, so hopefully they will be again.
  5. Cheers for the advice. I'll be giving the shop a call in the morning and will hopefully take it down later in the day. I have lubed the chain but it seems to have made no difference.hopefully it will be sorted quickly (& cheaply)! I certainly won't be taking it out other than to have this issue sorted at the moment.
  6. Well with it being a first bike, it has been hard to not jump on it at every opportunity! So yes, it's done a few miles in the short time that I have had it. I had a feeling that it wouldn't be covered, but will give it a go. What is the approx. cost of having it fixed?

    Warranty

Well having purchased an Er6f about 2 months ago, unfortunately it is currently sounding awful. As mentioned on the site previously I am completely new to biking and was hoping the chain just needed to be tightened. When reversing the bike the chain clunks and seems to be very slack in places, whilst overly tight in others. When riding, the chain noise is very loud. I have had a few opinions from people and it seems that the chain and sprockets need changing. The bike is a 2012 model and came with a 3 month warranty. Should this be covered by the it?
  8. So the Lidl gear is available from today and the Aldi range is available from 8th March?
  9. Passed this morning, in the snow. 1 minor for late indication, probably didn't have any feeling in my hands to indicate quickly enough! Time for some bike shopping over the next few days woohoo.
  10. Well, once around the block does sound good to me. Hopefully it hasn't changed much.
  11. Congratulations. I have the MOD 2 booked for early March. Glad to hear that it's not such a terrible experience!
  12. Well I passed! 2 minors for being below speed on the hazard avoidance and the emergency stop. Emergency stop - 1st 46kph / 2nd 54kph Hazard avoidance - 1st 47kph / 2nd 55kph Pretty bad start, with me not being able to find the key, but after that I felt comfortable with every exercise and made sure that I didn't rush. The examiner was helpful and explained everything well, apart from keeping me waiting at the end! On to the next one....
  13. I have my Mod 1 booked for next week. Not feeling 100% about it at the moment, but hoping to get one good lesson in this weekend, before the test. Hopefully will have the same result as most on here!
