  1. Sorry MM, I didn't mean it to come over like there was only one annual road race on the IoM, but as you obviously know as a regular visitor, the TT fortnight is more than just racing it is an event in it's own right. As you go on to say with regard to tourism, if the Southern or the Manx were to be finished it would make little difference but the TT ending would plunge the island into ruin (excluding the offshore financial business). So long may the TT continue I just prefer the NW, also you don't get ripped off by the Steam Racket Co.
  2. To be fair about it the TT is a one off event each year the NW200 is just one of a series of road races held throughout the year (maybe the 2nd biggest of the year but one of a series all the same). Haven't been to either for 20yrs now, but want to get back to NI for the road racing sometime (used to marshall at Carrowdore).
  3. For carb icing I can recommend Silkolene FST. 650 Draggie used to suffer form this, 10ml per tankful of fuel sorted it.
  4. Who doesn't ? Only 5 weeks to go before my first 2009 Rally.
  5. Likewise, all part of the world domination plan Hope to see you on the road sometime.
  6. Fully understand the North/South divide thing ref road system, but Plymouth is not the captial of South Wales. To be honest I have little time for rideouts as it is.
  7. IMO Leave it as is, you wouldn't ask someone in London looking for a local rideout to trawl through Manchester rideout threads, would you ? Wales is Wales. btw. 6 of 9 posts (mod posts excluded) originate from outside Wales.
  8. Full time with access. But hey why have a bike and not use it. There are 7 days in a week.
  9. Sure the Kawa is probably more reliable and the sensible bike to get. Go for the Aprilia, if we all took the sensible route we'll all be in cages.
  10. Sorry I missed you Bill and Terri. It all got a bit manic on the day , I have never seen the car park at Aust so full. I was parked in an area that has not been used in previous years and the access road was also being used for parking. It took me 20 Min's to exit the services, after the bridge I rode most of the M48 solo as a huge group went direct into Chepstow, this I don't understand as the first year the ride went to Chepstow most participants moaned about the ride not being long enough Also this is now a public spectacle and gives the non-riding public a view of bikers you don't often see in the news. It must have been disheartening for those people who stood on a bridge for two hours waiting for the bikes to find 3/4 mile gaps. I suppose it depends if you do this ride for yourself or for the causes it supports and the good of the motorcycling community.
  11. Look forward to meeting you.
  12. Your not going to be on your own from here. viewtopic.php?t=13294 I think I should have about 20-30 riding from Magor Services, meeting at 0930 & leaving at 1000 for a steady trundle over Old Bridge to Aust. Most of group will be Legion Riders some Welsh Rideout Club and thaj from here, plus possible waifs and strays who passed test with Beacons View Training. You would be welcome to join us. Black 1100 Draggie with Legion flag on the back. My 6th year.
  13. Cracking vid akey, captured the ride and the moment at NMA.
  14. voted everything, though I did use the cage to carry display materials to Aberdare show, only because I can't get it on the bike (and I still working on that).
  15. As the event was so successful this year, it has already been provisionally booked for 10 Oct 09. I should be there, all things being equal. http://www.rttw.org/
  16. Link http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=bh8-c3MUe0I I will be the twat with the flag leading the ride in.

  18. 1081 registered and I know of at least 80 tipping up from RBLR that have not registered. With good weather I would hazard a guess at close on 1500 on the day. Hope to see some of you there and put some faces to names.
  19. This should go from strengh to strength . 50+ RBLR members will be there, coming from Kent, Cornwall, Wales, Yorkshire & E,Anglia. Looks like I am going to be our Flag waggler
  20. I will now be at this (had time/agenda of meeting changed) along with at least 5 RBLR Members and I believe the entire Branch Committee. We will be the ones with Poppys on the bikes. Lest We Forget
