When I got my first Givi - I emailed them direct (from website) and got far better instructions emailed back. But.. they are generic and not model (bike) specific. Have you tried a Kawasaki shop - They may have fitted one for someone else (contact them and get advice).

Can't do Sunday - Weather may still be OK for Saturday - Met Office forecast is currently 'Changeable'. Don't mind the odd shower but if it 'P's it down - Different story.

Got to fit a new base on the Church Flag Pole (on top of the tower!) but hope to get across for the meet. 'Spiderman' If I don't see you at your place first, I'll either see you at the meet or at the 'Tute afterwards. Son, the 'pub' is the Hartford Marina 'Beefeater type place' which is not segregated. we tend to 'take over' the two main car parks (and most of the sides of the approach road). If you do turn up - keep a wary eye out for the nice fellows in uniform (and their new covert car - It's the one with the large LED sign in the back window, adjacent to the small camera lens!). You will spot Neil easily (he is the tall, thin, baldy who keeps trying to convince everyone that Black is best). See you others there (hopefully).

Don't ask people to 'fill you in', they just might! Only joking mate. Bring a cushion for Neil next time, and I'll see about a rocking chair (or just a chair and some rocks)

Straight up the A1 to Brampton. We ride in a group from there (and we are used to 125 riders).

I too can offer a (soft) bed (or even 2) for the Sat night. Bacon butties for Sun B/fast. Any takers (once we have a firm date) - let me know. GOG

Me and nman1 looking to run up from Brampton, Huntingdon on Friday 8th August - Overnight in the Penrith area then Sat doing a few rides in the North-East lakes (calling in at the Kirkstone Pass Inn for lunch) - Overnight in the Ambleside area then down to Blackpool (NM wishes to do 'The Big One' ) - Overnight Blackpool then back (cross country) to Brampton on the 8th. Would love to meet up with any 'Locals' in the area during that weekend, both in the Lakes and at Blackpool. Also, any tips on accomodation - Looks like the YHA at Ambleside and a 'Biker B&B' in Blackpool.

Unfortunately I am in the Lakes and will not be there but.. As I live in Brampton and ride with Neil (I have the dark blue (best colour) 1250 with forum sticker and topbox).

Also - Note Neil has found his wallet (or did he nick that 5ver off Roy?)

Fitted a 'standard' one on my first 1200 Bandit - No problems but had to fill it regularly. Got a 'Touring' resovoir type (fits behind numberplate) on new Bandit 1250 - Looks like I'll get a full year without refil. Oh, this was a 'freebee' extra negotiated when I ordered the bike. :) . Whatever & however, got to be worth the money unless you do the chain lube every trip
