  1. Afternoon all, Having some electrical issues with my ybr125. Firstly it has been standing around a while, as i have not been living at home. Came to it when i got back and as expected didnt start. Did hill start, ran for about 30 seconds before conking out. Got a battery charged are charged it and now it will power up on ignition (ie dash lights ect working, indicators working. main light not working, but this has always had a bad connection so may just have fully gone). Kick start will start the engine most of the time. However electric start does jack all other than make the solenoid click, then short all power to the bike, and then there is a bubbling/clicking noise coming from somewhere around the tank (not the solenoid). once this clicking noise stops, the power returns to the bike. Any ideas? dont want to rush into buying a new battery if its something else as im skint cheers, Will
  2. What are peoples advice with me selling it soon? better just to sell as broken and let someone with more know how fix and use/sell on or attempt to fix myself. With the piston being wonky have i screwed it up?
  3. okay cheers all. Going to have a play with it this afternoon again. I'm getting a gs500 soon though so if i cant fix it i will just sell as damaged
  4. At first i did forget (on first attempt i didn't and worked fine). second time it got stuck as said and even when i did uncap it still didnt fix it
  5. Hey guys, Was cleaning our my front brake caliper piston today. Followed a video on youtube ( %29"> ) and first time cleaned it all good and got it back on but missed a clip for holding in a bolt and being a perfectionist decided to redo it all. I noticed there was still a bit of dirt this time so gave ti another clean bringing to piston out further than the previous time. However this time the piston will not go back in (using a g clamp). When i pump out the piston more it will move back in again when i re-clamp it but always stops at the same point (g clamp just becomes too hard to turn). I'm not sure if its me seeing stuff but it always looks that the piston my be ever so slightly slanted further down the one side as well. Any help will be much appreciated, Will
  6. Hi all, i have a problem with my Ybr125 Had this problem awhile now and used to only occur a few times a month but its getting much more regular. Basically what happens is, i will be going along (speed doesn't seem to affect it, happens at any speed) and all of a sudden i loose all bike power. It feels as if the engine has been muffled in a sense, it still is sort of going but as if it has been put in slow motion. Sometimes it just goes back to normal either after a few seconds or a gear change, or sometimes i have to stop and the engine fully stops and i have to restart the engine. It only seems to happen near the beginning of a ride, after 10 or so mins i have never had it happen. Anyone have any ideas what it could be? thanks in a advance, Will
  7. I don't get what you mean by checking the exhaust is positioned properly, surely if the screws are lined up with the hole/exhaust firmly attached it must in the right position?
  8. Chain was only tightened about a week or two ago so isnt the problem. The problem is there isnt a way to make the exhaust sit lower that i can see as it is bolted to the frame
  9. Put a new exhaust on my ybr125 and i have noticed that the chain now ever so slightly is touching the center stand when up. I dont really know any way to make the exhaust lower therefore the metal that holds the stand away from chain down.
  10. okay i will check later on today, i know its definitely not a blown bulb i checked at the time
  11. Today i fitted a new dashboard on my ybr 125 due to the old one being smashed when i had an accident. When i first got it home after the accident (only dash was actually damaged and i was only round the corner from my house) i noticed that my front indicator on the left was not working at all, and the back left was just a constant light and the same with the light on my dash that says indicating left. Strangely enough when i hit my dash back into place (it was wonky) the indicators worked normally again. Now the problem is back and as i said before i have just replaced the dash. The bulb is not blown and the right side is working perfect. Anyone know a common way to fix this? one thing is that my battery is now almost dead atm to the point where i had to hill start it. any help would greatly be appreciated
  12. Okay thank you for the reply. I knew how they worked i was just starting to worry in case my helmet was defective or something and when it comes to my head i like to make sure its protected
  13. Hi all, I have been on a motorbike about a month now and i had my helmet on today and for a random reason decided to push in on the sides of the helmet and they bent inwards slightly (not damaging, move just pressed more into my head. I just want to know if this is normal or should there be absolutely no give in the helmet when pushing on it
