  1. She's only been out in the wet on the day I picked her up so far. I'm fortunate that in Southampton we get quite a few sunny days Sorry to hear about the off though, I dread the day it happens to me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. That remind me I need to replace the stock horn on my bike for something a little more manly [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Nice bike, just in time for spring arriving [emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I'm normally a 9-5er I just have a couple of days off next week [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks for the invite, the wife is away this weekend and I only managed to get out today for an hour whilst my daughter was at a kids party so unfortunately I'm not going to make it. I'm off work Tuesday so hopefully going out again then Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I went out for my first little ride today (only did about 30 miles) and I was loving it, I'm meant to be keeping it under 5k revs whilst running it in but couldn't help it a few times and had to hear the triple roar. My o my though the standard mirrors are awful, I found myself moving around a lot to be able to see what was behind me and it was taking my eyes off the road for those extra seconds that has convinced me already I need to replace them with something else. 7. lol I'm still a Mancunian at heart but I won't hold it against you [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks guys, my lid is hiding them but I do have the frame and engine protector bits from Triumph along with the quickshifter [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks, yeah first ever bike as I only passed my test in November last year and been waiting until spring to get a bike Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Picked up my new Triumph Street Triple 675R today, had to wait until the rain stopped but home safe now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I'm getting my first bike tomorrow so I might be visiting a few of these this year! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I could be interested in this, I get my first bike tomorrow so it would be a good opportunity to get out and meet a few bikers in my neck of the woods. I can't do the 11th though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Those two manoeuvres obviously involve turning the bike at slow speeds which can be a little unnerving the first few times. I wouldn't let it put you off doing the DAS as you get loads of practice on all the slow stuff during the week so you'll have it nailed by the end of the week Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Good advice from all, I'm in a similar situation in that I am getting my first bike in a few weeks and need to beef up my garages non-existent security. I'm definitely getting a ground anchor and big chain for the bike and some additional discreet locks on the garage
  15. Also you find different manufacturers sizings slightly different so try different ones on and get the one that fits the best. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I think these are what you mean www.roadskin.co.uk Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I remember struggling with clutch control on my CBT and was out of control with the front wheel in the air at one point in the morning and totally knocked my confidence as I felt I was getting it up to that point. I took a 15 minute break to clear my head and carried on and got my CBT that same day. Moral of the story is keep on trying as you'll soon click with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I failed twice on the U turn but on the third attempt passed by lightly covering the back brake as I went round to control my speed. This enabled me to keep the throttle and clutch controls steady and concentrate on making the turn Hth Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I'm not sure my skills are up to that just yet [emoji23][emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. In addition I've just been watching this review "> It makes both the Kriega and Ogio sound good but worries me his comments about the flimsy zips and straps, what is your take on that Shorty as a user of the Ogio bag? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Thanks Shorty they do look pretty trick bags. It looks from the review video that the zip is on the inside so you need to take the bag off to get into it but i guess that's fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Hi all, I'm looking for a new backpack for carrying around my laptop securely and safely and it would be used both on and off the bike. I've never bought one that is suitable for using whilst riding before so looking for any recommendations, I've seen reviews about Kriega bags before but not sure if they have a special compartment and straps to securely transport a laptop? Any suggestions please? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Well I'm approaching 40 and having a midlife crisis, or at least that what my missus thinks I've always liked the sound and look of sports bikes and so finally decided to indulge my curiosity and learn to ride. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. When I moved onto the bigger bikes I actually found it harder to stay at 30 and it felt quite slow after a while. It got a bit scary the first time I reached 60 on a big bike as it was a naked so the wind was a bit of a shock but soon the adrenaline kicked in and I was laughing and smiling in my helmet and I now look forward to going from a 30 road to a national speed limit as the burst of acceleration to 60ish is awesome. Bottom line is confidence will come from experience so chin up and keep persisting Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Nice bike, what made you choose that bike just out of interest? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
