    Battery

There are three pictures 2 of them is the battery connector from the heated grips the loop broke off but yeah need to replace the whole thing with a new one unless someone knows how to replace just that bit. 3rd image bit of corrosion I thought it would affect why it wouldn't charge but found out battery is too dead and charger was broken. My follow up question was: is it true that if the battery is below 3V you have to discard it. I did try to upload the image directly but didn't work.

Another question: is it true that if the battery is below 3V you have to discard it. Thanks for all the tips battery was flat and the charger I used is broken. Bought a new charger and that seems to work also bought the things suggested.

  8. Hi guys and galls, I'm looking for a rechargeable jumpstart kit? so when my batteries dies I can jumpstart the bike myself as I have not really got people close by that can do it for me. If it's transportable bonus. Any suggestions is very welcome.

    ACF50

That sure eases of a bit That's less than what came off mine. Even after I wiped most of it off. Do I just burn most of it off?
  11. On my CBT I turned right in a side road. Anxiety started to come so I wanted to stop. I did a wheelie for a bit. Crashed into a brick wall. Fell off and left a trail off bike bits. That was the one major crash I had. Huge wide bleeding grazed wound on my knee. Didn't feel it or saw it until I got back home. Went back to work pretending everything was ok. Hopefully my first and last wheelie.

Ok I was refilling my spray bottle for acf50 with fluid from the big refill bottle. I tripped and the bottle went flying I spilled it on the bike and now when I switch it on the bike starts smoking and a funny smell comes off. Mostly comes off the engine that's exposed from the sides. Have I just buggered the bike? I'm an idiot.
  13. Sunday couple of days ago. Not me though. Was a group ride and happe6nes before i got to that bend. One of our member took the bend. Didn't see the gravel rode over it back wheel slid and he went. Handlebar bent, a few of us pulled the bar so that he could ride it as best as he could. Good thing he didn't go over the metal rail and over the steep hill.
  14. Mine did that too friend charges it and next day did it again. Started to worry so got it checked out and was just the battery. Try a new one and then get a mechanic.
  15. It depends on the brand minuut reduce but not eliminate wind noise. Try a different type of earplugs. And check with your doctor if it persists .
  16. You'll still be able to do your test and fail and ride with your valid CBT I passed mine in July last year. I failed the mod 1 because I was 1 so ill but didn't want to sit at home after I paid for it. And 2 Failed on emergency brake. It's not hard if you have good instructors and just get your nerves out of the way and you'll do fine. Mod 2 I passed first time. Lifesavers Lifesavers and Lifesavers. Keep to speed limits listen to what examiner say and if you miss a turn just keep going. He'll get you back on track.
  17. I could do that and hopefully nobody switches it right back,
  18. I have asked local plumbers to fit taps under and outside and wanted more than £100 for fitting and extra for all the materials needed to put a tap connection under kitchen sink. I don't have that kind off money and I suck at DIY. Guess I should just use cold water or burn myself with hot water.
  19. Hi, Not really motorcycle related (I think), I want to use a tap connector that can attach to a hose but all I can see are those for mixer taps and I have 2 taps one for hot water and one for cold water. There is no way I can fit an outside tap. any way to get around this? I want to use it to wash my car as well as my bike. Thanks for the help if any.
  20. I'm going there on the 22nd. I'm probably biking it as I have to go to college straight after, but as I go with a work colleague might be on the train. I'm just wondering who has gone before, do they lend you jackets and such to test ride or do you take your own stuff?
  21. I agree. How do you define quality? I can give you numerous examples where the expensive branded kit has caused major problems and where cheaper kit has prevented problems. On top of which I can testify to the expensive is not always quality argument. I was wearing a £300 pair of boots when I had my crash. I am now a cripple and disabled because of them. I might have come off better injury wise had I been wearing my oen boots which cost a fraction of the price. It is all subjective. Quality might not be the correct word I should've used. I am sorry to hear about your accident. Having the correct gear can provide a certain degree of protection on how the rider has fallen. no crash is the same. an expensive or cheap kit can't protect your ankle from being twisted when there is a large amount of force put into it. I thought placing this image can give some idea to people to buy kits and not ride in their normal clothes such as tracksuits, skinny jeans.
  22. http://img-9gag-fun.9cache.com/photo/avnBpnE_700b_v1.jpg I came across this image as bored as I was through 9gag I would say this is for people who wanted cheap not fit for riding stuff or only want to ride in their own normal clothes. I still see people riding around in tracksuits and such. Image says it all. I have fallen off doing an accidental wheelie while learning. Borrowed jacket and such didn't have proper riding trousers. Knees were painful for weeks and 1 was scraped but went straight after accident back to work while the riding jacket saved my top half. nope nope. Buy the [strikeout]quality[/strikeout] correct riding clothes it will last longer!
