V62 applications can only be made by post ...... seriously !!
It's like the people on the guaranteed pensions just want to take the urine out of us people that pay their wages ....
No you can take it into the post office pay the £25 fee and they verify it and you can tax the vehicle there and then and a v5 is posted out in due course
Did it with my car 4 months ago

Go into post office form v62 if no green slip and tax it there

I would like to put forward a candidate for Nob of the day!
On route to Buxton, stopped at a T Junction Chapel-en-le-Frith, I am going to turn left, Vehicle approaching the junction from the right, had left turn indicator flashing but he was approaching the junction at some speed, I am not a fan of being T-Boned, so wait and see if the vehicle is going to turn or...
Thump from the rear, shoved me forward into the path of the vehicle that didn't turn left! on with all the anchors, vehicle missed front wheel by a good inch or so.
So off bike, guy from the vehicle leaps out, very apologetic, said he wasn't concentrating and ASSUMED I wasn't there and the oncoming car was going to turn left.
Had a check round my bike no damage done, he hit my rear tyre, the front bumper on his Volvo SUV was well cracked, that's going to cost you I said, his wife gets out of the car, she is not a happy bunny, clearly, I am not his first, domestic about to kick off, I felt she's going to do a better job of grinding him than I felt like doing, so back on bike and off,
He seemed a perfectly decent sort of a guy, offered me his details etc, felt a bit sorry for him TBO
I had new tyres on the bike a couple of weeks ago, is this a new interpretation of running-in do you think?
Enough to cause damage to a car means get bike checked over as rear wheel could be misaligned , swingarm bearings could be flattened , same as wheel bearings etc etc

Be very careful of strapping a bike in a luton unless it has floor mounted anchor points .
The side fixing rails are normally glued/bonded to the walls and can peel off even though apparently rated to a substantial restraint force ..
Also the height of a luton is a pain unless it has a tail lift and then its a ball ache as bike had to go side on the lift and has to be turned with literally an inch either side of the wheels to move
And don't ever try transporting a gtr1400 in a luton ... its a struggle ....

Dont forget it may not have a TPO but may be in a conservation area which also requires applying for works .
Giant reds known for being fire redartent until your sat 60ft in the air in one and your chsinsaw keeps setting alight to its matting outer layer ....
Get a proffesional in and make sure their fully insured etc ... if it goes wrong then you have some comeback
Or even discuss it with your home insurance if its having a detrimental effect on the insured property ..

None of these are in Pembrokshire but some of the roads mentioned by others above in the midwales are featured here .

Look at places you may want to visit
I.e Pendine Sands ... long expanse of sand 7 miles used for land speed records in the past and at allowable times you can take vehicles on.
Tenby . Nice little town and classed as the Welsh Riveria .
Strumble Head ... lovely coastal area .
Llyn Brianne reservior and dam.
Preseli mountains ... scenic views and nice open roads BUT watch for cattle grids and free roaming livestock .
Road surfaces in the areas can be horrendous due to lack of repair and farming industry related debris depending on time of year .
Some areas are still a bit behind in times ( ie no 24hr shops/fuel )
Mobile signal is reasonable but some areas can a struggle especially in buildings.
Coast road to cardigan is ok but can get frustrating with other road users.
Milford Haven avoid as its a shit hole.
Just remember most Welsh A roads are similar to Good B roads in England
B Roads are generally poor b roads
A40 to fishguard ranges from Dual carriageway to single carriageway
Anything else are single lane roads but are heavily used especially by the google navigating tourisrts or locals .

Check out kawasaki er-5 not sure if smaller etc but er5 is built around the gpz500

Registered keeper is that ...
V5 Document states not proof of ownership
Best to speak to finance and state her needs and request they reposses but she is still liable for payments as she signed the agreement
As bike is technically in her name re finance etc she can approach police

How about check chain tension ?
Chain elongates as gets warmer hence more slack increasing the lack of pressure on gearbox which can create a clunk when gear changing
Also check chain condition for damaged rollers
Check sprocket conditions also

I agree, but I there is a school of thought that believes being in neutral is safer. They call it the Hendon Shuffle.
Why bother with shuffle ?
It is best to Use which ever foot is appropiate when coming to rest .
Left foot down , bike in gear , rear brake applied or .
Right foot down, allows neutral selection and bike held either by riders stance or front brake
Plan ahead, look at the camber/ layout and pick a foot . It is not mandatory to use the left foot only.

So they took on a job without knowledge or expertise of that job on a Safety critical item and you want to save their embarrassment ?

Was it a new style number plate or old style as the distances are different for them .
If its set a bit further and you fail .... the examiner will suggest you move closer and if still within the set distance all is good .
They may use the kerb as a base line

My commute is the same. My car is parked on a hill at home so I started bumping it to preserve the battery I have to make sure I go for a longer run once a week in winter otherwise I end up having to put it on charge in shed
Hope it doesn't have a cat convertor as bumping 'new'cars can cause issues to these by injecting unburnt fuel

So have you
A. Measured the filament length of both bulbs
B. Measured the filament thickness of both bulbs
C. Tested the opacity of the glass
Bike bulbs tend to vary in their construction to be either :
Heavy duty to deal with the extra vibration
The filament may be shorter/thinner to reduce the amount of current required to power ( due to mc electrical system vs car system differences )
The glass can be lighter again to combat the current requirements .
Just because they use same bulb code does not make them the same bulb .

You are going to have to find out what axle has been used for the conversion and get the hub seals for that vehicle ..
Contact previous owner or look for any parts number /marking on axle to determine possibilities

If on bike and you believe tyre can be plugged and are with either RAC or AA make sure you request an actual ( van) Patrol from either not a garage agent .
Very few garage agents carry tyre plugs so will just recover you to a tyre repair if one is available .

What area you live in .
As a beginner Castle coombe would be my suggestion.
Only 12 people on track at a time .
10-15 session length
Great instructors and a good policy on riding standards.
As other tracks can have 15-30 on track for 20 minutes and be more in it to just have bums on seats .
