    Hey everyone

    Hi there Baba, welcome along.
  2. Myself and 7 others had it all booked for the Easter week this year, absolutely gutted that it was all cancelled. We have now booked it all again for next year, it's been on my to do list for ages so hopefully will get it done in 2021. It's been a rotten year for cancellations, Had to cancel Le mans, Chimay classic bikes and a couple of Rallies as well. Le Mans has been re scheduled for October so that might still be a possibility with a bit of luck.
  3. That is excellent. It now looks like you have Toothless the Night Fury hiding behind your screen. Funnily enough someone else has said that, I had no clue who Toothless was until I googled it.
  4. Was that your cunning plan Yeah but I don't think it's worked
  5. I’ve just ordered some RST leather jeans using the site link Stu, it didn’t Mention the site though Would now be a good time to apply for the mod job?
  6. You may be pleased to know that the Cat & Fiddle is now open again, only as a cafe but it was good to see. Stopped off on a mini tour of the Derbyshire Dales today

Pretty much how I ended up totalling my Escort, it had a great engine but the brakes and suspension were made from cheese,

I totally get where you're coming from Big Nick, I bought an old Escort MK11 1100cc and dropped a 1600 engine in it back in the 80's it went like stink until I wrapped it up Seemed like a good idea at the time until the insurance refused to pay out, and I only got a wrap on the wrist from the police, but hey ho it was only worth a couple of hundred quid anyway. Trouble is, it's a different world today, if I'd done that as a new driver today it would have probably had my license suspended as a new driver and not be able to insure anything for years to come. If my youngest lad was going to do that today I'd tell him to wait until he could afford to buy and insure the real thing, it's just not worth the risk these days and that's probably where the advice given out to youngsters today comes from, it's more to try and protect them than belittle their efforts. Just my opinion like.
  9. It's good info but you don't need to actually crack the code.If you can read it you just give to any bearing supplier and they will give you the correct bearing, it's true that it will be a fraction of the cost the dealer/garage will charge as well.
  10. Had an errand to run so got the bike out, Damn battery was dead My own fault, it struggled to start last time it was run, I made a mental note to get a new one, then didn't bother. Walked round to Beefy's to "borrow" my Optimate back of him, Optimate confirmed the battery was knackered. Got a new one from Halfords, fitted it and set off to do my errand, total of 60 miles to deliver a birthday card to a house 2 miles away. It was good to ride again (Eventually).
  11. Another look at me w**ker, File alongside all the other celeb pillocks trying to outdo each other with their poor kids stupid names.
  12. Put some new rim tape on and some stainless sprocket nuts.
  13. Hi Mate, welcome to the forum. For all things Benelli Give my mate Selwyn a call, He buys and sells spares for them, as well as repairing them. He will gladly give you advice over the phone about what will and won't fit your bike, he may even have what you need in stock. Here's a facebook link to his garage. https://www.facebook.com/Selwyn-Motorcycles-413475426073870/ There isn't much he doesn't know about Benellis Tell him Goz sent you his way.
  14. You'll do well to find a better one than "Road", it's really good.
  15. MOT's extended by 6 months. https://www.gov.uk/search/all?keywords=mot&order=relevance
  16. Yep, Michael Gove was on earlier answering questions and said garages can stay open to keep people on the road.
  17. The way things are going I can see the whole season being in Jeopardy, I'm not very confident of the Le Mans round going ahead now I just hope I can get a refund if it's called off.
  18. Already booked to go to Le Mans again this year. Can't wait.
  19. I've recently fitted the HEL ones to mine, very pleased with the result, they have made a big difference to my back brake especially, It actually stops me now rather than just slowing me down a bit. They are quite expensive (Mine has a 5 hose system) but they have a lifetime guarantee, not that you would probably ever need it.
  20. I use Army surplus waterproofs, got them off ebay for about £20.00, never failed me yet even in torrential rain.
  21. There are photographers regularly at the entrance to Rivi Barn and also on the Horseshoe pass, they have websites where you can view the photo's and buy a copy if you like. There was one at the Goose neck for the TT last year as well. I've had people ask me if they can take a photo when I've been parked up before now and others that just snap away, it really doesn't bother me, what does bother me is when someone watches you put your ear plugs in, helmet on, start the bike and then come over and start asking questions. bast*rds
  22. That sounds a horrific thing to deal with, Having never faced anything like that myself I have no clue how hard it must be to go through. I would suggest maybe try to get some bereavement counselling to help you through it. RIP to the poor lad on the bike.
  23. +1 on the Tom Tom Rider, fantastic bit of kit. But probably the handiest accessory I've fitted is a 12V socket, on the handlebars, very useful for charging phones, Ecigs etc on the move.
  24. Shooting him does seem a bit of an over reaction, surely a Chinese burn would have sufficed.
