The electrical side of things shouldn't have made any difference, where you put the cig ligher attachment might have. Here's a couple of pics of mine.... if the exup isn't working properly then the tacho bounces up to 7k and back to let you know.

check there's nothing blocking the air intake, it's just forward of the battery.

I did 288 miles yesterday and only took one bloody photo (which has already been used by someone else ) I haven't been over to the Lakes for a few years and was disappointed at the amount of new 40 zones that have popped up. It screwed up my planning and just managed to get back home to see England's goal lol.
