  1. You are obviously to blame for the lack of manners of the minority of horse riders, didn't you know that? How very random. And i'm sorry, but where on earth did the mystery ranter come up with the definition of highway? It comes from Old English and originally meant high street, heahstræte, a connecting street or waterway between population centres? Sod all to do with speed!
  2. Undecided. It has a certain retro charm, and looks in good nic. Not sure i'd be seen dead on it, though
  3. Love you too mwah August bank holiday might be a bit late for me. Should be off work may/june/july, but that could change Otherwise i'll fit in with whatever date is decided on
  4. uk190 Rebel rach Gin Acting_strange al-stu yorbandit Sto Tiggie Bonniebird Tango Bigsisterbiker I'd be up for this, if i'm not at work. Keep meaning to have a good ride round Lincs
  5. 12 days to go. Anyone going from southbound Woodall?
  6. Excellent! I'm a merchant seaman and work with that kind of marine paint, they'll have a b'stard of a job getting rid or it and it stinks! serves the thieving idiots right
  7. i volunteered to take my niece back to leeds from hull in my tail pack, but nobody thought that was a good (humane) way of transporting a toddler my brother and his gf got all their baby stuff before she was born and from my brothers panic when she did arrive, it was a good idea. also, they decided what they wanted in the nursery and had time to get exactly what they wanted because they started early. oh, and congratulations
  8. Yeah Sue - thought I'd keep it quiet though Thanks for all the birthday wishes Don't really celebrate my birthday too often, so had a quiet day. Tidying up and cooking mostly (the steak and mushroom pudding was lovely), but not a bad day.
  9. i've had toothache so bad it made me cry - so i say, go get it fixed. two weeks is more than enough time for your gum to heal and the pain and worry will be gone instantly or, worst case scenario - the longer you leave it the more likely you are to get an infection and a lovely abcess and agony and a football-like swelled up face for your holiday
  10. Was looking forward to this, but i'm crying off. been camping three times so far this year, and it's peed down every time and i'm a bit fed up with it to be honest so, had a look at the weather for keswick for friday and saturday and it's looks god-awful, so i've made an executive decision. hope the weather forecast is wrong and you all stay dry and have a great time
  11. I've read some of the reviews of the square and compass, too, and they're generally negative. the halfway house inn looks good - i like the option of hiring a caravan for the weekend too i've not got a link, cos i'm useless , but the Royal Oak at Hurdlow looks good. Just had another look at their website - they've got a camping barn they take group bookings for, but don't do large groups for the campsite

TC GarethNW Littlecat Rebel Rach UK190 Boothy YORBANDIT Augustburnsred Devans Paul Revs Ratser Martynmcg Bigsisterbiker I might even manage to turn up on a bike for this meet with the added bonus that i miss my new niece's weekend visit. babies are ok for a couple of hours but then they're a bit boring
  13. After four days of constant rain in wales a couple of weeks ago, my hein gericke textile trousers and my five year old spada jacket didn't let in a drop. my boots are daytona, and not only did they stay dry, my feet where lovely and warm the whole time. happily recommend the lot the only thing that let me down where my waterproof, brand new hein gericke gloves. they'd not been sewn properly with enough of an overlap on a seam so the seam seperated. the shop changed them with no arguments at all, so i'm happy enough. johnny gloves under my normal summer gloves where almost as warm
  14. i'll dig out the flask - coffee while it lasts for the ones braving the rain
  15. Just had a look at the weather and it's rain. So i'm coming in the car again Would have come on the bike, but had four days in Wales getting drenched last week and have had enough of that for now Hope you don't get too wet Sue I can bring my comfy sleeping bag and the bigger tent yay I'll bring my spare in case anyone is in need. It's a small two man, but it's plenty big enough for one and kit. And if anyone from Hull/area would like me to take their tent text me, number is in contacts
  16. good luck with that stu. think the weather monkeys might be out soon and before anyone - sue - says anything, no i didn't drive and it wasn't my helmet and number on a random bike
  17. Infamy, infamy.....they've all got it in for me
  18. how dare you! i would never! only because i hadn't thought of it
  19. If anyone is going up to the manor cafe be careful, they've resurfaced the road with that crappy gravel and it's all over the place it's spread quite a way either side of the work too and i got stuck in york coming back from there yesterday - lucky me caught the flippin olympic flame going through! serves me right for missing the ring road exit and going through the middle
  20. Not been on for a couple of days, so it's belated but.... Hope you enjoyed your birthday Stu
  21. Mōshiwakearimasen sore o osoidesuga, watashi wa anata ga subarashī tanjōbi o motte ita kibō sorry it's late, but i hope you had a brilliant birthday gotta love online translator tools lol
  22. a friend of mine just had a bit of a windfall, and wishes he'd paid off his mortgage instead of buying a brand new car - which he doesn't like that much as well as the knowledge his house is totally his, he'd have more spare cash each month and could have had the new car anyway on finance and it's always nice knowing you've got a bit extra cash to flash if you need it
  23. something like that happened to me a while back, at b&q, and no i didn't go back and pay. it wasn't much but it's always nice saving money
