  1. The 'easy to go over' bit refers to the future not the past I know what I'm like... the bike is going
  2. I'VE BEEN TO COURT Circumstances 108.5 (average including stopping) in a 60 limit (single carriageway) Fine weather, dry, light traffic Dorset Magistrates (Weymouth) Over taking two cars (one of which was undercover cop) Need licence for work Clean licence Punishment Pled guilty 6 points and £285 fine (inc costs) Resolution Sell bike so I don't do this again! Yes I could ride slower, but as you know it's so easy and I need to be point-free for at least 3 years... 6 points not good, but could have been worse...
  3. It'll not happen Paul
  4. I'll turn up in a suit and tie I'll have a letter from my business partner saying that if I lose my car then I, and 4 other people will lose their job (I'm ther marketing guy) I'll also get a letter saying all important appointments have been cancelled for 2-3 weeks I'll try and sell my bike It was in Hampshire (bournemouth/ringwood)
  5. That's the plan noggin
  6. Not that bad either way really
  7. Ideally I'd rather have a short ban than points. That way if I have a dodgy tyre, or do something minor in the future I'll not lose licence. My brother was caught doing 115mph and got a 2 week ban, no points. How far back do they look at your motoring history? Is it 3/5 years, or since I was 17?
  8. had speeding incidents in the last (including another similar one many moons ago), but nothing in last 5 years They said I'd get letter in couple of months
  9. I'm going to say I really need car for work I'm happy to take points or short ban (long ban would ruin business) (I'll not shout about fine) Say I'm getting rid of bike Happy to go on driver awareness course I'll also offer that they revoke the motorcycle bit ... (not sure they can, but may help) Not going to argue etc, fingers cross
  10. Gonna need my car to keep business going, which is my job and 4 others ... will get letter from other business owner to say that. Will be happy with 9 points and fine or Will be happy with 2 week ban or something (my brother had similar) Hopefully my plea will help as they'll feel it will hinder others I've learnt my lesson ... I'll prob sell my bike and get either an off roader (for dirt track thrills) or a chopper, or save cash. Far too tempting My biking days are probably over
  11. In Hampshire, daylight dry, 60mph limit single carraigeway, wide for few cars. Overtook undercover cop car. He then started recording me, slowed for roundabout but avg was 108.5mph. Cop was nice about it. Clean licence. 32 y/o. Need car for work Getting summons What you reckon in gonna get? (I know I deserve it, just curious)
  12. Been looking for ages to no avail Asked a mate who's a good sprayer, and he reckons that mates' rates (cash) would be £90 for the whole front of the bike Sweeeeeeeeet That means it will be in better condition than before, get a few decals, and have flawless fairings. If it's that cheap I'll pay a few more pennies and get my wheels done all new and shiney too. Whooop In the mean time I'm looking for a new generator cover as my old one is "patched up" - or will be when the gasket arrives I'll post pics when done
  13. Anyone any reports on aftermarket fairings?
  14. How much cost/time would it be to spray? Bear in mind it's metallic blue I have access to a spray gun (my brother sprayed a mini ages ago), and all preping stuff I've never sprayed anything before Also bear in mind it's only a £1500 bike ... Thx
