  1. RST TourMaster Jacket, 4XL / 48/50 chest Excellent condition but minus the thermal liner lost during our housemove. with matching trousers 42 waist again minus the thermal liners. Only worn a few times as the wife bought them for me and they are a little too snug for me but too late to return them. £50 for the set plus postage which will be about £10 by Hermes Email me for further details [email protected]
  2. Zoflora is really strong, my Shark Winter Helmet got damp in the garage, washed the liners but still the smell prevailed , was advised to try Zoflora neat, this has worked a treat the lemon fragranced one obviously as the other flavours are well lets say not very motorbiking friendly.
  3. When i did my CBT pre DAS a while back, hadnt been on a bike in many years, i had brilliant instructors, they created a great rapport almost imediately and that helped the day go. Whilst i passed 2 other guys failed, one couldnt get the hang of the clutch and the other was really poor in all aspects, despite the school actually giving the other 2 guys 1 to 1 instruction for an hour whilst i was patient. When i went onto DAS one of the failed guys was on that too but he just couldnt get the hang of the bigger bikes either. I think its a lot like that, nerves can get the better of you, and this directly translates into really poor performance because you are constantly on edge. Or you just arent suited to bikes. I think you'll be fine with the right instructor. The right instructors are key.
  4. Mod 1 was a fun day in the rain, yup 1 fault because i did accelerate rather quickly on the estop and went through the speed check at 64...slight lockup, if i'd stayed only on the front brake i wouldnt have had the fault but hey the Examiner had a chuckle........
  5. Examiner was clear that apart from the incident witht he disabled driver driving at me as follows clean ride no faults.... No he apparently charged away i only saw him as he almost forced me off the road, he was perhaps 2 metres back from me in a parking bay on the opposite side of the road, when i did the checks and the big look back he hadnt moved, only as i moved did he accelerate to try and get past me, i had a moment and stopped and that was that.....The examiner was stoic, he apparently didnt have a duty of care to protect my safety and say something.....Fail it is then....never mind..... This was stop and pull away no3 within 500 yards on 2 adjacent roads......i dont make rules but i do question whether this was right.....
  6. 64 in the wet i was a muppet and had a slight lock during panic phase......
  7. trulyy awful experience today when i failed MOD 2... On the third consecutive normal stop pull away, had a car move from the opposite side of the road as i started moving, well start moving is anunderstatment he charged at me, so i stoppped...failed... the rest of the ride was totally clean no rider faults other than that. Awful because on my test i did 6 normal stop pull aways, 3 straight, 2 angled and a hillstart....Feel that i was being setup to fail...couldnt work out why the examiner was so insistent on me repeating this exercise. Because i had done 3 consecutively within 500 yards on 2 adjacent roads....I'm told its normal....so thats that No way to appeal this either.................................
  8. Failed my MOD2 this morning am really fuming about why. On the 3rd normal stop pull away, as i started moving a car came out of a parking bay on the opposite side of the road in my blind spot at exactly the same time as i moved. I stopped and so i failed, if ihad continued i'd have 1 rider error and passed. My big annoyance is this was the 3rd normal stop pull away from the side of the road, i then did a hill start and 2 angled starts the examiner said apart from the one icident it was a clean ride. Why did i have to do 6 normal stop pull aways....surely 1 normal, 1 angled and 1 hillstart is the requirement if they were all clean...... Really peeeved at this as i feel i was beng setup to fail....
