    Oops

Nice. Contemplating one myself, got to sell the 750 first!
  3. GSXS 750 2017. FSH,Extended warranty to 2020,2800 miles. £600 worth of extras - R&G tail tidy, fork and engine sliders, bar ends, tank grips, swing arm bobbins. Evotech hanger and blanking plate. Crash bungs and rad guard. Ixill exhaust. new rear tyre 01/09.(puncture). Suzuki trickle charger. All original parts included. Two keys, full documents. Garaged, immaculate. £5950 ovno.
  4. Got this about 9 weeks ago and done 1600 miles,so time for a review. Purchased off of a work colleague who bought it new,but only did 60 miles in a year and a bit,so had to run-in etc. Good points - Goes well, with a nice airbox growl and burble on the over run. Weight low down,so easy to handle at slow speed and really stable when not! Short wheelbase means it turns really easily and really inspires confidence on the twisty stuff. Seat comfy, big tank (16 litres) and good economy ( 55- 60 mpg ). Excellent lights, mirrors and a nice dash. Suzuki do a scheme where,if you get it serviced at a dealer, the warranty is extended to three years. Bad points - None really, bit if you really want to nit-pick.. As with all most all euro 4 bikes, throttle response can be a little snatchy and can 'search' when around 30 mph. I'm used to it now,but can be cured with a reflash for a couple of hundred,or just ride it fast all the time! Brakes are really good, but lack a bit of inital bite.If I was going to keep the bike for a time,I'd upgrade to braided lines. Would you get another - No,but only because there's so many different bikes I want to try. This is an under-rated bike, which would make an excellent commuter or weekend toy. It's docile under 4k,but comes alive when you spank it! And it begs to be! It also represents excellent VFM. I like it so much,I'm gonna get the 1000 next year. Obligatory pics. Extra's- R&G crash protection,Evotech exhaust hanger/blanking plate,Ixill exhaust.
  5. Did the Bennets course a few weeks ago. Really good, you'll get a lot out of it (but not trail braking). You can ask the instructors in the Q&A sessions tho, they're all from CSS.
  6. I did that course at Brands last week. It's all about technique,so nothing high speed/hairy to worry about,I didn't bother with any 'extra' insurance.(torrential rain all day,no incidents amongst the 20 or so participants) Good day, improved my riding,
  7. Make sure your feet are not splayed out! (did this and failed by clipping the cone, sound familiar?) Tuck your toes in before you move off.
  8. Have to admit I’m more of a super sports bike guy. I bet I end up back with a 600 again lol With your budget,a decent 600 for 2.5k and the rest for insurance?
  9. I've got Roadskin, they do various weight denim for different conditions.(all fully lined)
  10. Saw one of these parked up around the corner from me last week. Photo's don't do it justice,it's a stunning looking machine!
  11. No,perfectly normal behaviour.
  12. Thanks. Chose it cos I think it suits the bike.Chuffed how it sounds, deep burble, loud but not obnoxious(baffles in),pops on the over run and resonable price. Would recommend.
  13. Few weeks ago,I went to find an old workmate as I'd heard he'd got a new bike and wanted to see if he was interested in joining our whatsapp group for w/end rides etc. Anyway, over a cuppa he told me he'd decided to hang up his helmet(ooh er mrs!) and was I interested in his bike? He bought it new in September 17 and had done a total of 60 miles! No prizes for guessing what happened next! A quick call to the Mrs (I know, but she said I'd be mad to pass it up at the price he offered me and just buy it.She's a keeper ) Few days later another mate dropped this off Spent two weeks running it in,and managed to get the first service done (600 miles),can now go over 4800 revs and have some fun. Added new pipe, full crash protection etc. Now looks like this- Lovin' it.
  14. Congrats. Think lary colours look good on certain bikes, including this one.
  15. As I've only had my full licence for six months,I booked this for last Monday. Here's the itinerary for the day. Slow Riding-Tips on emergency braking, slalom course, figure 8's.All good from the recent Mod 1 practice! Biker down-Taster for the full course, with demonstration and advice on what to do(and not to do). Briefing and first track session-Classroom on track lay-out,flags,turn-in and apex cones. Then split into groups and out for first session! If I'm honest,I found it a bit intimidating lining up for the first time(in the slow group) and it was all a bit of a blur! Must have been overtaken more times than a milk float. Observed Ride(IAM)-Got a bit nervous here, having a bloke in a hi-viz on an adventure bike reminded me too much of MOD 2 Anyway, off we went for half hr around the narrowest, most winding, gravelly roads in Kent.Upon returning,he complimented me on the safety of my riding, but said my biggest danger was dying of boredom if I carried on like that. Nice bloke tho, seriously considering joining the local group. Guest spot-Kevin Williams on being safe by making your bike 'fit you'. Briefing and second track session-Much better this time, started to hit the markers and was considerably faster. Started to catch the bike in front and as we started the last lap, decided to go for an overtake! Then the yellow flags came out cos someone had binned it! (no injuries or serious damage). In conclusion,a fantastic day, picked up some good tips, got on track, met some good people, all for 60 quid. If you get the chance,do it.
  16. Speed Four-VGC for age. R&G crash bungs,sliders,engine cases,swingarm spools,belly pan.Seat cover,race can(plus original),bar end mirrors,secdem screen. Full service and MOT 18/04/19. Recent rear tyre and battery. Alarm/immobiliser,two keys,spare fob,handbook,lots of history. 34k miles. £1895 ono.
  17. Suggest you find an empty car park on a Sunday, and just spend some time doing all the MOD 1 stuff. Get confidence on control and that should translate to the road? Plenty of Youtube videos about confidence- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvsIDn5sLCc "> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGOEbanJOwY(for the laydeez!)
  18. To make you feel better........... 1st attempt at Mod1-Approaching junction on a hill, with an adverse camber, felt the bike wanting to fall coming to a stop. Quickly got my leg out and ping, hamstring popped! Bike and I parted company, and I'm out of action for 6 weeks! Had to be 'rescued' by my instructor. Oh,and the examiner said 'that's a shame,we were about to head back to the test centre, you had a clean sheet so far!'
