  1. Just ring the main dealer. As said previously, it might be a known fault or it might still be in warranty. I'm going to do that soon, everywhere's closed for christmas!
  2. Yes, that's exactly what's been happening, dash basically gone bonkers, I'm going to try a dealership, if it's a trip that'll save me a couple hundred then I'm all for it. Thanks
  3. I've already tried all of this nothing changed aswell which sucks Sorry mate , so you have . Forgive me for not reading your original post right to the end . All good, I appreciate it anyway! looks like I'm stuck with trying to buy a new dash and if that doesn't work it will be a trip to the mechanic

  5. I agree this could be the best solution if the warranty is still applicable. I bought the bike second hand back in April so not straight from the dealer, and I believe the closest one to me is around an hour away, if it's something I need to do then I'll do it but I'm just hoping there's a simple answer to this
  6. This all sounds foreign to me, is the instrument panel the device that shows all of the info on the display? how would I go about checking the data link connector? I have a feeling the reset button isn't working, I'll give it another go but I push it down and nothing tends to happen. And where abouts would the right hand handle bar gear be? just the right handle bar ? Sorry, just haven't heard of any of these ones yet!
  7. Hey guys, I'm hoping I can find a solution on here. I've asked on reddit and have had some responses but nothing yet has worked Basically, recently my MT 125's dash started glitching and basically lagging, everything would show but bars would appear randomly, my MPH may glitch up to 100+ and then within a second drop back down to 20 and stay there forever. Even when the bike was switched off, everything would still be on show? (mph, time, fuel, trip time etc) I think this may be a reason as to why it's stopped working. But now there's nothing apart from the light. Here's a video showing the issue, and the noise it makes when I use the engine kill switch: Okay, I've tried, taking out the battery, plugging it back in and checking the voltage, all fine, checking the fuses and replacing them, all fine, taking the dash off and checking the wiring (from the little wiring I could see, it looked fine) and I've tried taking the dash apart and letting it sit in rice for 48 hours. Still absolutely nothing. I'm just clueless as to what else I can do now other than try and buy another dash. Any help would be great!
  8. Alright good to know. So do you think I should pick a pair of these ones up or look for another pair? Can't load the link to look. I've used doctor bike ones before good alternative and less cost. If you're not sure on fitting pay a garage or a friend to wore it in via ignition and fit the grips yourself. I ended up buying the touring ones. Looked online and they seem like they'll work for my bike

  10. Going to be picking a pair of these up today hopefully if I can get some help. I've asked over on the motouk reddit and how my grips are 130mm but the oxford heated grips I'm looking at are only 123. I've been told they'll stretch so it wouldn't be too much of an issue. However, I'm not sure if I need the sporting, adventure or touring. I presume I need the sporting but wanted to double check. Also the adventure grips are 132mm but that's too big. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B009T48F6E/ref=s9u_simh_gw_i1?ie=UTF8&fpl=fresh&pd_rd_i=B076X1W1YP&pd_rd_r=347ed7e7-9407-11e8-ab3c-35650eed0483&pd_rd_w=SL374&pd_rd_wg=y7tdg&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=&pf_rd_r=7MQJ47ZCMSK0RBK9NYVA&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=ebddcdf4-84a6-4152-bf7e-f6c45991bca8&pf_rd_i=desktop&th=1 I'm looking at ones that also just plug into the battery and aren't hard to connect so was also wondering if these ones are the popular ones among bikers. Thanks for any help. Edit: For some reason the link I've posted isn't there. but the name of the grips are the "Oxford OF690 Motorbike Motorcycle Hotgrips"
  11. I'm looking for a phone holder for my bike, CBF 125 2014 if that matters. (iPhone 5s) But not quite sure what they're called. Can someone please tell me what they're called and if anyone has any suggestions? Thanks
  12. I got an allyway next to my garden so we're getting a door installed there so I can bring it in the back over night.
  13. So my 2014 125cc CBF is coming Saturday. But I want to order my security so I can insure at asap and get it on the road. Looking to spend around £150ish on all 3 things, (overall) any suggestions? Thanks (UK)
  14. Make sure you pull the clutch all the way in when you're slowing to a stop. Ah alright, Can I can to a complete stop in gear 2/3 and then crank it down to gear 1?
  15. I mean just waiting to turn. Such as coming to a red light or waiting to turn right and having to giveway so I just stalled
  16. Oh okay, makes sense. Apart from that I felt alright with the riding. Was told I did go slightly too fast around some corners. But now's the time to actually start finding a bike.
  17. I posted here a while ago all confused. Didn't even have my provisional. Glad to say just over 2/3 months later. I have passed my CBT. Done it today, 9-2 on the Honda CG 125. Small bike but was great for me. Everything went well, got onto the road. Only embarrassing stall I had was when we were making a right turn. (How does one stall?) is it when you change gear/break without holding the clutch going slow? Stalled a couple times at intersections. Drove right into the wrong lane because a lorry was blocking my view and I didn't know where to turn. (Almost failed because of that)
  18. According to my parents my signature isn't really acceptable. I understand because it's kinda my first name with a few scribbles through it and you can easily see my first name. I then just write my second name ;/ Does anyone know how to send it back to possibly get a new one? Edit: Never mind, I called up and have it all sorted now!
  19. Sorry, I wasn't very clear. But like Beefy said, the "course" and the CBT are the same thing. There's just one fee. If you can afford it, get a 125. First, you will benefit hugely from practising using gears (assuming you go and get a bigger bike one day). Secondly, you can't keep up with the traffic on a 50cc, so you spend your life on the roads being overtaken by trucks and cars and donkey carts, which isn't a lot of fun. But your average 125 can do keep up on most roads (it's only on fast dual carriageways that they lag behind). Ah okay, only thing is. My budget for all of this (all I can afford really) is £1,300. Any chance of there being 125cc scooters/bikes and for me to be able to do all the training and other stuff for that much. I do have a job but only working around 16 hours a week because of college. So I will be able to get more money eventually. Also, I ride a bicycle every day. Does it feel just slightly harder riding a moped compared to a bike? Thanks for all the help so far.
  20. Thanks for the help, definitely helps as I knew nothing before. Do you think I should save up some more money for a 125cc or just stick with a 50cc when I complete everything?
  21. I'll for sure check them out when I have some time. Thanks
  22. Awesome! thanks so much. I was just wondering if on the part 2, where you said to apply for a CBT. is that separate to the course? so will I have to pay for the CBT and the course or are they combined?
