    Well I was gonna go down the a1 but I could be tempted by a Cockfosters detour if you want I wouldn't go down the a1 - you'll be going in the wrong direction It's up to you, I'm 80% sure I will be able to make it. If you want to come this way we could still do m25/a1 or go through potters bar/hatfield.

    I am not sure if I will be able to make it now, got a meeting with the landlord tomorrow morning so depends on what time he decides to turn up! I will let you know in the morning at least the weather looks ok..

    I will meet you guys for a pub lunch and depending on the ride after I may join, there is a good chance ill bring a friend who has just recently become a biker so is on his L plates. Got himself a nice Suzuki intruder 125, will be a good experience for him. which reminds me.. bike needs a clean

    Having just come back from Italy, I can safely say i won't be driving or riding there anytime soon. It was hard to spot a car without a dent in Rome! and their highway code is... well non-existent. But i'm sure not all of Italy is the same.. have fun !

    I've never been to the pubs there but I have worked on the retail park a few times. It is a bit of a chavvy area, and I'm not going to lie it is not the nicest of places but I don't remember there being too much trouble while working. I don't think being northern will be held against you. Best yet... If your really lucky.. you may see the cast of eastenders out and about around the town.

    It's not that hard to pick a pub.. .. does it sell beer? Yes Done. only half hour from mine too, happy with that.

    I will need to confirm nearer the date Pretty sure I broke my nose playing football last night so will depend if I can put my helmet on or not.. tried this morning and way to sore!

    So we cannot identify a pub which we can guarantee will show the football, but my colleagues say the same as me. Try Radlett (or Barnet) rather then Borehamwood itself if you can help it. However there is a pub closer called Mops and Brooms which is up the road from the premier inn on the way to shenley, but not sure if they play football.

    If i am free with nowt to do I will pop over. That is a result, see you in central london? I will ask one of the guys in the office tomorrow on what he thinks about the pub situation, he often goes cycling round that way and stops off for a bevvy.

    Radlett is around 15minutes from the permier inn, and shenley is around 10. Radlett is bigger then Shenley so I reckon you will have more chance of the footie being played there.

    I am still waiting for another game to get stuck into, I seem to get bored very easily. So if anyone else wants to recommend let me know.. at the moment I am stuck on playing Dota2 or Arma3 while I find another game. Black desert online looks good, but I don't have that much time on my hands these days. I've heard good things about Overwatch too. I try to get on with my Ps4 but i always end up back to PC gaming.

    Not sure on how good they are but there are quite a few pubs in Borehamwood, I would say its would be more worth while checking out the little villages nearby (Radlett or Shenley) I can imagine them being much nicer There are also a few pubs on the road from Borehamwood to Barnet (A411) I'm not sure which ones playing the football. If you want me to do a fly by one of the pubs and check it out for you, let me know I am only round the corner.

    mid june sounds good to me, its the only month of the summer i have almost all the weekends free!
