  3. This is a later part number that fits 430770011

  6. If its just the end can I cant see a problem, as long as its a decent make and its your bike you can do what you like and everyone can go and do one. The only problem you could have is with a warranty issue but that would only be If the problem concerned the end can. I say go for it. it must look better than the original.
  7. I would suggest try getting your quotes for comprehensive insurance, it seems daft but just getting TPFT implys your not bothered about your vehicle and just need legal cover. Comprehensive insurance normally comes out cheaper.
  8. Never believe anything the Post Office tells you
  9. Have you got a bolt or a wooden dowel sligthly smaller than the axle, put the swing arm bolt in from one side to hold that side up then move to the other side and slide your temp dowel into support that side. Hopefully you will be able to slid the swinging arm bolt in further and further then gently push the temp dowel out as the swinging arm bolt goes through th frame. You may need to giggle the arm about a bit but it should line up.

Due to ongoing issues with my health I have a brand new Engineers work bench for sale, I got it about seven months ago with the intension of altering my workshop but its not going to happen now. 11. To all those who dont pay for tv channels and sport, ITV are showing Moto GP live this weekend from Portugal. Saturday ITV3 showing Moto GP sprint race then on Sunday ITV4 are showing Moto 2, 3 and Moto GP live.
  12. That is a cracking job you should be really proud of your work, im not a fan of fully faired bikes but I do like the paint scheme on your bike it looks classy. well done
  13. This stuff is very good for killing and converting rust, ive used it on some really scabby stuff and its worked a treat. Fertan Rust Killer / Remover / Treatment 250ml Spray Corrosion Protector Remedy | eBay
  14. Give DK motorcycle spares in Newcastle-under-Lyme a ring, they break thousands of older bikes and bring bikes in from abroad you may get lucky.
  15. You can ride a bike as long as it has insurance to a pre arranged MOT station then tax it when it passes, but if you get pulled as you say on the way to work you are on a sticky wicket and plod may think you are taking the piss and nick you.
  16. Hi there welcome to the forum as westerley said a photo would help but if you cant upload a photo have a look on this website, input your model and then study the diagrams to find where the part goes. Honda Motorcycle Parts, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha Motorcycle Parts - ATV, Classic Bike, Dirt Bike Parts (cmsnl.com)
  17. If you can clean around the stud and use plus gas spray over a few days between heat cycles dont force it as you said. Give the stud a tweak clockwise this can break the bond. Before the thread is completely knackered if you can beg borrow or steal and arc welder, weld a nut onto the stud this sudden extreme heat can help break the grip of the stud on the cylinder. When the stud starts to move stop and check it is moving and not sheering off, if it moved wind it back in a fraction then go again hopefully a bit further this time. It looks like you have plenty of patience so slow and steady and hopefully it will come out. Good luck.
  18. This outfit would be illegal in the uk as you cannot have a sidecar mounted on the right or offside of the motorcycle registereed after 1st August 1981.
  19. Just a suggestion but for many years I have put one of those coloured key rings on to all of my keys, the type you can open and write on the card inside. I then put my mobile number on it then if I ever lose the keys and someone finds them they can give me a ring to reunite me with the keys. A word of caution though if you do lose the keys and some one rings, agree to meet them away from bike/car/house that the keys fit just incase they are thiefing morons. 99.9 % of people are decent and will try to reunite yo with the keys. Over the years I have found loads of keys while out with the dog and try to get them back to the owners.
  20. Yes that will work or an old metal tent peg bent into shape or for smaller springs use an old small screwdriver bent into shape with a bit of heat.
  21. Make or buy a spring puller, it makes life so much less painfull.
  22. Second the peel campsite but not been there since covid it was council run and a good site, Glen Wyllin at Kirk Michael is very good also right on the coarse. You have the big site on the rugby pitches I think its Bradden bridge that has tents to rent but look it up.
  23. Its never cheap going to the TT but to go on a budget and keep costs low go as a foot passenger via the hydofoils from liverpool or the ferries from Heysham further up the coast. TT week is the most expensive but if you go the week before to watch practice and perhaps stay for a couple of days racing on the Saturday and monday then a ferry back can cut the cost. Or go mid race week and come back well after the races as the island winds down. There are campsites that rent tents to save taking all the stuff with you and up in the paddock area there is a hotel made out of container like structures that you can book by the day I think. I think the tourist board have a scheme matching visitors to home owners on the island that are willing to hoast guests, Have a look at that on the IOM website. Good luck with your trip it is well worth a visit an amazing specticle.
  24. Can i suggest getting touch with RS paints they supply most manufactuers with touch up kits and have a vast knowledge base of original paint colours. RS Motorbike Paint Colors - Motorcycle paint, bike paint, Kawasaki Honda Yamaha (rsbikepaint.com)
  25. Sorry dont like the bar end mirrors its the standard mirrors for me.
