  1. Hmm so providing an example of camaera working means you dismiss the lorry drivers that say it has faults. I’m out of this conversation it’s got silly.
  2. Hmm who’s being passive aggressive and... may I suggest more than a little patronising. I’m not showering you with opinions, I’ve expressed one that’s clearly at odds with yours. It is absolutely based on zero data. As is any opinion given here. All I’ve said is that if the lorry drivers are demonstrating there’s a blind spot they have not done their consultations adequately because if they had it could have been addressed. This seems to have caused a barrage in my direction from people who don’t have a class 1. These brilliant experts (assuming the lorry drivers aren’t lying) have produced a mirror with a blind spot. Genius.
  3. Maybe and people are resistant to change especially it seems if it involves technology so yes it could all well be just a bit of newness. But fleets don’t replace their vehicles that often and the few on the road 2019 in a pandemic with empty motorways isn’t going to give you a clear picture. The pictures do show theres a blind spot at the front of the cab and thats what the initial warning fastbob posted was about. A blind spot that perhaps better consultations could have eliminated. Class 1 vehicles are a completely different class with good reason. I’ve driven 7 1/2 ton lorries and I wouldn’t presume for a moment to transfer that experience to an articulated lorry, I take the lorry drivers advice on it.
  4. Exactly. How many people here actually have a class 1?
  5. My point is (and I’m not sure if it’s being deliberately missed cos people are bored) that if the end users- the lorry drivers who ACTUALLY USE THEM aren’t happy with them (that they have blind spots and are poor in the dark) then they haven’t iron out the wrinkles (ie consulted the end users enough) and shouldn’t have put them in general release until that point. Of course these professional drivers who say they have weak spots could be wrong or making it up but I’d take their word over someone who doesn’t have a class one and hasnt used them.
  6. None I know off. If you introduce a system with blind spots that doesn’t work well in the dark n rain it’s a matter of time and that is my point- that they’ve introduced it before ironing out these problems with real world testing. As I said introducing changes after the 20th accident when you could have just listened to the drivers who actually use them is arrogant and ridiculous.
  7. It is if people die unnecessarily
  8. If the lorry drivers using them don’t think they’re safe then no matter how clever the design or how much fuel they save (up to 3% I understand?!) they should finish working on them with real drivers before putting them on general release. Making changes after the 20th cyclists/motorcyclists gets squashed because of a blind spot is arrogant to say the least. Personally I’m fed up with technology and design that’s not been real world tested. You pick something up and it becomes clear they didn’t even bother to consult the users. It’s a rubbish approach.
  9. Was this move to guard dog isolation island immediately after meeting six?
  10. Very interesting. About 100+kg too much for this flyweight!
  11. Aw there he is with his special brand of comfort and joy.... he’s right about those bags though
  12. True true but I bet Steve is your real name and M is probably an initial from your surname .. schoolboy error.
  13. If you’re so innocent reveal said photos for judge and jury massacre acquittal, thought not
  14. I started reading that thinking, it’s just a bit of a grey day, it’s not that bad and ended reading it thinking nooooooooo!
  15. You have a point I remember last year listening to Claudio Von Planta talking about failing his bike test for the long way up (or maybe round ) and he actually failed twice not just the once shown on the prog. One fail for riding too confidently (ie fast) and not doing his life savers and the second time for being too cautious, he couldn’t believe it He passed the third time when he remembered his life savers and rode like he normally does just slightly slower. So that’s the key, like you normally do but slightly slower and you’ll be dandy. But this is a CBT not a full test, they only want to check your not gonna have or cause an accident and you’re going to be waaaay past that standard or you wouldn’t still be riding
  16. Another day another dollar Good evening and goodnight
  17. I can see the attraction, only 4 poles, separate sleep areas and a covered middle point, nice. Yes I like two lightweight ones, more options. This cocoon thing is a departure that I’m none too sure about
  18. interesting. I wonder if there are any left wing horsey people. I don’t know any but I live in the West Country where to avoid any confusion or discussion your political party is stamped on your birth certificate
  19. Lol your going to have to go all royal yourself and say I’m taking this very seriously and it will be addressed by the family privately
  20. Well that’s the way to run a business isn’t it. Excellent customer service for sure
