I’m going up, with my son will camp Friday & Saturday night. Riding up from Northampton on the Friday afternoon, son will most likely ride up on the Saturday (he is coming from Berkshire) Quite looking forward to it, but if it’s pants, could always come home early. Going up to Wales following week, for a week as well.

Some more phots, still not got all the photos sorted. Though I am thinking of going to Spain for a week on bike this month before it gets to cold.

Yeah I could never turn up uninvited, just wrong, plus as I’m fairly new back to bikes, would make it clear, that I’m quite happy poodling behind, and if I don’t catch up, don’t wait, nothing worse than feeling obliged to change what you find fun, to fit another person.

Sounds like a brillant trip, great write up, and photos. Would love to do something like this with a group, with do your only thing mostly, n meet up at night.

Nothing like the feeling of getting a new bike (new to you) have fun and ride safely

I’m just back from France, did not use any stickers, or do anything about headlights, had zero issues, the police I did see, took next to no interest in me what so ever, there are 100 of bikers, over there from everywhere, we just don’t stand out, and unless you make yourself stand out or unlucky enough to be caught speeding you will be fine.

Hi, few photos from my little EU bike tour, ended up going, France, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, back into France, then Home. Went up the Alps 3 n a half times, 1/2 time, because I wanted to see the San Bernardino pass, so went up n came down same way. Plus up another mountain near Thusis (sat nav error 20 km one way and had to come back down same way) though was a fun ride good views with very curvy roads. Black Forest had some of the very best roads I have ever ridden, just beautiful. Will do a few things different next time , but all in all was brillant, though it’s great, been solo, so you do as you want, would prefer to do it with someone next time, hopefully my son, but if not another like minded person. Was thinking of doing another short run again this year, but not sure now with the weather, think I’m now fully on the side of fair weather rider, Tis the age
