  1. Had a set of these when i had my CBR, worked great and plenty of room. very easy to attach with a couple of bungees too
  2. I was told by the dealer i got mine from that they come out of the same factory, which was why i had to wait ages for either last year as the shut over the summer
  3. I've got myself a Caberg Trip, very comfortable and i believe it does quite well in the SHARP ratings Also has an integrated second tinted visor which works well, as previously stated main downside seems to be it's a bit noisier than the Shoei full face helmet i have. It is also very good at remaining fog free, think the visor comes coated with something
  4. Most sensible solution is just to use the bike a bit more Which is what i plan to do, although this mornings damp foggy ride to work was a bit interesting
  5. well either putting it to service mode worked, or the back up batteries in the alarm were also flat, or it didn't react badly to having the battery ripped out. Battery is now recharged & bike is alive again :D
  6. Thanks, think i've found a guide to putting it in to service mode, will try that later
  7. would need to bit a bit long, 2nd floor flat & bike park a few hundred meters from building :S oh i know, have done that by accident a few times, usually at about 6 in the morning.
  8. I can't get the bike close to mains power to be able run use an optimiser May just have to run the risk of annoying the neighbors for a bit if the alarm does go off

    spyball alarm

It's been a few weeks since i used my bike & my 'wonderful' spyball patriot alarm has drained the battery. Anyone know if it's going to have a fit if i take the battery off to charge it up?
  10. Will hopefully be going, not sure which day though
  11. I've got a set of oxford soft panniers, usually attach them with a couple of bungy cords under the seat. old bike used to have some nice helpful points to attach them too.
  12. I've had similar problems with getting jacket and trousers to zip together, best advice get a jacket that's the same make as the trousers you have then it shouldn't be a problem... or take trousers along to where ever you get the jacket from. I commute in my gear and jacket is leather... just remember you'll most likely need waterproofs to stick over the top as they tend not to be much good in anything other than light rain.
  13. i guess it's an alternative to the power range look
  14. i'll pass thanks.... although they do look very 'special'
  15. Well done F is quick enough for a first bike, have had mine a while and am no where near it's limits
  16. thanks for posting these, very interesting read. shame that most that don't think they need gear will never read them
  17. finally got around to trying these yesterday, worked great
  18. spectacle wipes .. yes, as most specs are madeout of plastic to keep the weight down.. i use them.. Thanks... will give it a try then.. visor is a bit greasy from the damp ride in this morning
  19. Anyone know if you can use monitor / glasses cleaning wipes on helmet visors? Cheers J
  20. thanks, will look out for some when i'm next at tesco.
