  1. Hospitality generally in Europe and uk, Is dropping down rapidly . I know as in the cruise industry most of the company employees are Asians. Not just because of salary as some of them are paid so much that Europeans would work for that money.

point is that Asian people are always smiling, they are always here to help and they always have a time for customers.

Polite and friendly, something that most of Europeans lost some time ago

We had no issues with any numpties or the like, but it don't matter where you go there will always be a couple of em' and they're the ones who get noticed and remembered.

We booked all with Booking.com but checked if the hotel had a website and checked the prices direct. We found that the prices were more or less the same but with a couple of alterations from the hotels website.

The added bonus now with Italy is they've binned all the chinese flu restriction shit, so you can enter and travel round the country now as if it never existed. Pity rest of europe still clinging on to the chinese flu fear control factor.

I was in Italy end of May and as you wrote all is as corona never happened. But as well Austria, Germany, Netherlands Belgium. I crossed by tunnel  and only what I had to submit was vaccination proof.

  3. Basically hotels will be clean and more than ok anywhere in Italy, north or south. Obviously there is more possibility for scum south of linea  gotica, but probably everyone knows that already.

I have bad experience with booking com, so I preferring  direct booking with hotel.

however Italy is much better than Spain in regards to cleanliness.

Depends upon how you do it, that goes for coastal and offshore…. I have owned and maintained sailing boats between 19’ and 35’ for the last 20 years.

They have cost me £2-3k a year including upgrades, berthing and depreciation, it can be done cheaply.

However it does mean to run bikes and boats my free time is 50/50 Maintenance and play.  However I generally enjoy the maintenance on boat and bike and try and do it in more inclement weather…

Thats cheep, I had boat in Croatia and only berth was that much a year (2500 eur) including dry berth. And hat was years ago. Insurance , registration and all other costs another thousand more, plus maintenance and was used 15 or 20 days a year if I was lucky.

so decided to sell it and if I go there I just rent it for a week or two,

  5. Still pollution is somewhere and will impact us one or another way, it is just “hiding garbage under the rug”

what should port of Miami say, 3- 5 ships every day 365 days a year.

yes I am for reducing pollution but it is not just cars  and ships, what about airplanes.

Anyway we started about tax, money, so I still believe it is just way of taking people money, legalised government criminal, that will not reduce pollution.
And yes when we arrive in ports beside we are on shore power we are paying carbon tax,

    Still in my opinion pathetic

  6. When we arrive to the ports we are getting shore connection so we turn off Diesel engines and we are running on shore side electric. That electricity is obviously green😂😂😂, made of what and where??

    Just pathetic

  7. Just tax on top of tax, my diesel estate is not due, it’s joke, 2litres Diesel engine, 2.5 tons of car.

It is nothing about clean air or pollution just money. Every few years e will have to sell perfectly good cars/bikes and spend money on new ones. Soon it will must be electric. Than we will have to pay tax for battery disposal etc….

This world is going in bad direction.
