  1. Finally some time and managed to take off the front and rear brake callipers, clean them, took pistons out checked gaskets, brake pads still ok more than half from new, new brake fluid. Oil and oil filter changed, fork dust seals pushed down and cleaned. Next time when I get some time off still need to change antifreeze, remove plastic panels and clean from inside. air filter if lucky will be changed once plastics removed.
  2. It is not so bad, first time it was bit difficult, but after few runs I found all goodies I need to travel in comfort. And it is all motorway. before my wife used to go with me and it was bit more entertaining, now is bit boring going alone anyway once in Croatia it is better when I’m alone, as blasting over there is not for pillions.
  3. Yes that’s right, I forgot, reduce amount of coffee (diuretic), small meals and sip of water every so.
  4. Air hawk seat, or over seat, highway pegs. Best combination. When on the way to Croatia I usually do 1300 km or 800miles on first day and 700 km/ 400miles on second day. Yes it is all on motorways.
  5. All good except swingarm, should be single sided.

    Anyone using PDL?

Recently I did 3500 miles trip, lubed chain before with motul paste and didn’t look at it until return. so 18 days and 3500 miles later, chain was still greasy, not as much at first, but it could go another few thousand. yes weather was good, no rain

    Spam call.

I receive them daily, Royal Mail, Amazon, nhs, PayPal, hsbc, don’t bother anymore
  8. Perfect, I had z750r, proper hooligan, fantastic sound. Kwaki does take sound effects very seriously.
  9. Abuse on daily basis, using all available time to enjoy in hot sunshine, warm tarmac and tyres. Tomorrow on the way back to uk autobahn abuse. Can’t wait to clean it.
  10. Coming back home. EU mixing new covid rules for UK, so it is time to escape. As well in Croatia first heat wave just gave up to second heat wave.
  11. section from one Eu newspaper “European governments have agreed to a "white list" of 13 countries, including Australia and the United States, for which travel restrictions will be lifted. There is no Britain among them. France and Germany are demanding quarantine for travelers from Britain, while Portugal and Spain, two countries dependent on British tourists, are not doing so, so far.”
  12. I was with bikesure for 3 years, it was only one affordable even do it was sky high. This year I got incredible offer from lexhaminsurance, 3 times cheaper than next closest one.
  13. On my odysseys across the Eu I used e10 mostly, it’s slightly cheaper. Consumption is slightly higher so probably I didn’t save a penny. Only concern is when bike is not in use, as mine for several months, sometimes 6-7 months, maybe something can go wrong. But I use to empty the tank when I am leaving so shouldn’t create any problem.
  14. Fully agree, I got one 4 years ago and it’s in use all the time. only I have to pay attention on pivot points as I manage to scratch some paint.
  15. Not only Eu, in the uk vaccinated or not, same requirements apply. In some Eu countries if you got both jabs you get some advantage.
  16. Yes so far, it is still required, as well 10 days quarantine and two tests day 2 and 8
  17. As everything else, somewhere is cheaper somewhere expensive. You have to surf a lot to get best deals. I got for 60£ fit to fly, even do I traveled by road, and on return I booked two tests for 140£
  18. This is truth, I was alone in carriage last year and this year
  19. that’s new since last week when I crossed, good progress
  20. You cannot stay in France coming from uk, only transit is allowed and corfu is overnight. I didn’t go trough France, but strait to Belgium and Germany . However who will control how long you where there. I did not encounter any borders and checks except uk to France
  21. I am in Croatia right now, thousands of motorcycles here from all around the europe. Only thing I had to do was negative covid test to cross to France, after that no one asked anything . Before arrival to Croatia submitted electronic locator form, that’s it. only tricky part is 10 days quarantine and two tests on return to England.
  22. Sounds OTT, I am in Croatia and country is pretty much packed with tourists. Yes you must have fresh pcr negative test and that’s it. You have to declare where you will stay and no more questions. crossing to France was easy, they asked for negative pcr and simple declaration to fill up as I just transited country. From there no borders and checks until Croatia. Hope that rumours regarding no quarantine for fully vaccinated people returning from amber countries will get into the life.
