  1. My son got a 50cc moped when he turned 16 last May. He sat his CBT and has been riding around happily. He sold his 50 last week when a good opportunity came up for a cheap 125. Now he can't insure the 125 as he is only 16. I even asked hid insurance if there was a way it could be insured for theft only until he was 17 but they said no. They then proceeded to tell me that I can't insure it as I wasn't the legal owner. This left us no option but to sorn it and lock it away until May (I did plan on giving it a run once a week or so). As was said earlier, the tax on a 125 isn't worth cancelling, seems the main purpose of this law is to generate cash for the government.
  2. Thanks for the replies. I found a picture but it's not the best or good at all in fact but hopefully it grabs someone's attention. The hunt goes on.....
  3. This is a wee bit of a longshot but, A few years ago my fiancees father built a motorbike. It was subsequently sold when he became ill and he has since passed away. We were looking through old photos from when she was growing up and she mentioned it was her dads and her favorite bike he built. What id like to do is find it and see if i can buy it to restore and give to her as a surprise. wedding gift. I looked up the reg and although it has not been mot'd since 2012 it still is sorn. DVLA confirmed it gets sorn every year but can say where it's located. It a Custom Suzuki Chopper 1170cc built 1992 Reg : Q353PTS I know this is a huge longshot but its worth asking, I will look out a photo of it when she isn't going about. Thanks

I'm pretty sure this is a breather pipe from your carb. I'd say the issues with the sump plug and seat catch ECT are down to Chinese build quality, all too common with these bargain bikes.
  6. My first and current bike. Possible the only CBR 600 F3 with a standard exhaust!!
  7. When I passed my test, my examiner advised me to carry my pass certificate until my licence came through (although I never did this). This would avoid any licence questions from the boys in blue.
  8. Nightmare!! Looks like you know what to ask santa for now
  9. Hopefully you nail it next time, 3rd time lucky. I recently managed to get through my tests (2 attempts at mod 1) I think I scored it lucky with my examiner following in his car and was sure I'd failed until he handed over my pass certificate with no minors. Now I've passed I can learn to ride! Good luck for the next time
