  1. Dealer has now taken bike back to sort battery issue. I'm not expecting anything for the damage, as posted above I have no evidence that I wasn't at fault so cannot prove it, I'm just happy it's getting the original problem seen to. Thanks for the advice all and hopefully I don't come back to this thread with the same issue...
  2. Apologies for leaving this open ended, please see new post for what happened today. Any advise (or a kick up the backside if I am indeed in the wrong) is very much appreciated
  3. Some may have seen my previous post regarding a new bike with battery issues. I contacted supplier who told me to charge it, ride and see what happens. So I charged with a normal trickle motorbike charger as suggested. Bike started fine and ran, won't start after being turned off unless left for about 20 minutes but I put that down to needing a long ride to recharge as supplier said which I have done. I rode it today and it cut off round a roundabout. This resulted in an injury and a lightly scuffed up bike with a broken mirror. Bike started, managed to get it to work and now had to leave it there as the battery is once again flat. What exactly am I entitled to here? I believe the bike came with a battery issue, it was dead and either won't hold charge or won't charge completely. The bike now has cosmetic damage due to the fall and I'm worried the supplier will refuse any sort of solution (repair or replacement) as it is damaged, despite the reason for the damage being some sort of fault. Am I in the right?
  4. Everything seems to be right, clutch in and in neutral as manual states, kickstand up, petrol in etc. I should have mentioned I did start it fine at first, it's when I went away then came back and that's when it started choking. It got progressively worse, sounding like it was struggling, then to a dead car, then to just making the clicking sound. Now the display cuts off so I would think its a battery problem. As said above I'll go straight back to the supplier. I just wasn't sure at first if it was something stupid I had forgotten (like the kickstand for example). Thanks
  5. Just tried it again and the bike died completely. Will be calling the company as soon as they open. Thanks all.
  6. Hi all, Recieved my new 125cc zontes bike today. I'm a complete novice, only just done my CBT so I apologise in advance if my problem is just down to my own stupidity. It was working perfectly fine when it came, tested this morning by the garage and the delivery driver showed me it working before handing it over. Just went to sit on it and it will not start. You go to start it and it just revs, chokes and makes a fast ticking sound. I can only describe it as sounding like a car with no battery, however the bike is 1 day old?! Surely it's not a bike problem but something I'm doing wrong. Thank you in advance.
