1. ,.....Still I'd rather ride in the cold and rain, then spend well over an hour in traffic in the car, only 30mins..ish on the bike, then trying to find parking when you get to work, or walking to the train station then standing up for 25mins, while people cough, sneeze and dribble all over you...... maybe the novelty of riding hasn't worn off yet? Or maybe it's an excellent way for me to commute? However the only time I would even consider not riding is black ice or snow.
2. Well done met police, however should be extra strength acid spray, not indelible ink
3. Interesting. So really, I should stop at the first white line. Next to the car which is pi**ed at the fact I've filtered to the front, or now the side of them. I should also stop crossing the single white line where there is no cycle box then! Opps, again just to get in front.
4. To wait in a cycle box? I usually filter through traffic and sometimes where there is one, end up having to enter and wait in a cycle box. Cyclists don't mind, but cars do, no surprise there.
5. I copped a shower coming back from work at lunchtime. It performs well (imho). Looks like I didn't waste my money. What I did notice was it gets easier to apply and buff off once all the old visor cleaner crud is taken off. The next test will be how often I have to re-apply it after each soaking. Another thing I noticed; after a ride out yesterday the road kill was a piece of cake to remove just using plain water and kitchen towel. SO excellent, so far so good then.
6. Let's get some reviews up once tested!
7. Would be good if you could complete an update, on how you found it during the rain.
8. Just goes to show, patience is a vertue. Well done
9. Explorer, waterproof, textile riding trousers? I've found just in my underpants, is this normal
10. You can keep the car if you want. The insurance They will pay you market value or less, however you will need to get the car a new MOT
11. Karma, 3 up in a bike is never really going to work! Dick's
12. I'm sure, there's an email address for some stations, where you can email footage of twaty drivers/driving to. Having L plates a majority of drivers are okay and some see the L plate as a red rag to a bull!
13. Absolutely disgusting, in front of children. Rather than the neighborhood watch, let's get vigilante groups.
14. Got it thank you. So make sure the guide lines on the swing arm are the same both sides? Thanks
15. On completing the weekly service checks, and ensuring everything is in good order, I thought it time to check the chain tension. Need to take up 5mm of slack. On following the manual, word for word it states the to; Loosen the rear axel nut, and then both rear chain adjusters. My stupid question if the day is, do you adjust one axel at time, or loosen both of the axel nuts as well as both adjusters? The servicing manual is not at all clear! I want to get this right as the chain is pretty important
16. I've just invested in a Knox armour shirt, which will allow me to have a bit more jacket choice, when commuting to work.
17. If you're bike doesn't have a centre stand, paddock stands makes things a whole lot easier.
18. Hi, I think the Van Van forum is no longer, but there is one for the 200cc Van Van.
19. Couldn't agree more, except I tend not to connect my brain too often to learn my lesson! Married twice, and now at 45 expecting child number 4! Which is due in 9 weeks, and an offer accepted on a house, moving in date 10-12 weeks!
20. Thanks both, appreciate your time to explain So I've popped out and can say it feels "natural" to pull on the left bar l, if turning right and visa versa when turning left, it actually leans your body, slightly into the turn! I also tried the push on the right to turn right, but felt a little more upright when doing so.
21. So one last time; Slow speed it get it... finally! Faster speed: as per SometimesSansEngine Pull/push on on the right bar to turn right and visa versa. Going out for an hour!
