Thanks for all the replies, it turns out as stated by Mississippi Bullfrog it is corroded wires that caused the problem,

I have tried new bulb and swapped the dip bulb with high beam (all work) taken switch apart and checked and cleaned all contacts, cleaned lamp holder, put bulb into holder and earthed directly to ground, still no luck, changed relay and no different. ?

Help, i,m at a loss, kawasaki er6f 2009, main beam does not come on however the bulb is good, there is 12.35 volts at the bulb holder when not connected with engine running, dash indicator light shows when not connected to bulb but as soon as you connect bulb to holder the indicator light goes out. Any help would be much appreciated.
