Hi Polecat, Fantastic thread, and one i've been studying for the past wee while. I came off my ninja and ended up grazing the left side badly and cracking it too. I'm sure a bit of plastic welding will cure it though. But then i'll need to respray the offending panel. I'd rather respray the whole lot white but i dont fancy tackling a full spray with no experience !! There seem to many different recommendations in regards to paining panels but as i can see your results i will probs match your process, crossing my fingers that i can achieve something similar. Heres what i have in my head ... . (Once i've repaired the panel etc) Sand the panel down with 180 - 300 grit Wipe panel down with white spirits. spray with primer (3 coats, 20mins between) leave to cure for 24hrs ish? - Should i sand with wet n dry before colour ? Spray with colour coat (3 coats, 20 mins between) ... When do i start spraying clear coat ?
