  1. I am actually quite frustrated about this at the moment so I feel like I want to get it off my chest. I just got back from my theory test for the second time. The first attempt I got 42/43 for multiple choice and 57/44 for hazard percep. So I only failed on 1 mark on multiple choice. This second attempt I got 45/43 for multiple choice and 42/44 for hazard percp. This means I got 15 less marks on the hazard percep this time unyet I noticed they were litteraly the same clips. How? How can I pass the first hazard percep with flying colours and then lose so many on the second attempt? It felt like I clicked for the same hazards as last time and more. To be honest, I think that this proves how much of a money making scheme the new test is as it is so unpredictable. Don't think I'll be taking it again in a while lol, my CBT doesn't run out until end of the year anyway. Does anyone have any good software for practicing mainly the hazard percep part? If so it would be really useful, thanks alot. -Matt.
  2. Will do. Am well prepared for it anyway Edit: Well, got down there and it was closed. I suppose the staff couldnt be bothered to turn up cos of the ice. Oh well, ill have to rebook it for the third time...
  3. I have the theory on friday at 1pm but am just wondering if it will be cancelled due to the snow. On the website it says the practicals are cancelled but doesnt meantion theory. My status says theory: ready. I tried phoning the test center today but there was no answer. Dunno if noone could get in because of snow but am wondering if I should just chance going down there and if its cancelled coming back Any ideas what to do? cheers.
  4. Just trying to brush up on some mod1 info before the test. I was wondering that while your doing the manouvers, do you have to always stop by putting your left foot down and only your left foot down? So far vids on youtube have showed that you can only put down your left foot. Or can you use your other foot, or both? Cheers pplz.
  5. Yeah but they are all analogue handlerbar clocks :s and also there dont seem to be prices on that website lol.
  6. Hey, I have been looking for some kind of clock or watch to put on my bike for ages but haven't had much luck finding what I want. I need it to have a strap like a watch rather than a stick on or velcrow because it needs to go on the handlebars as I don't have much dashboard space. Obviously it needs to be waterproof and fairly good quality. If anyone can recommend one please reply. Cheers.
  7. Found this paint in my local B&Q, its 135s Blue Metallic enamel. Im not gonna buy this one cos its expensive but would this be ok for fairings and would it give a gloss finish? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Plastikote-Aerosol-Fast-Enamel-Metallic/dp/B000TRQFEE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=diy&qid=1275651738&sr=8-1
  8. Can't find anything on the internet regarding ocean depth. :s
  9. Doing up my TZR50 to sell it but my spare fairings need some attention. What spray paint would anyone recommend to match the standard (I think it's standard) yamaha blue? Also, same for the decals. And would like a fairly cheap company lol, prefferable able to order on internet. Cheers.
  10. Just wondering, if you pay to take your module 2 for example and you fail it, do you have topay the full fee again to re-take or is there a nocked down price for re-takes? It doesn't mention re-takes on this site: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/motoring/learnerandnewdrivers/learningtodriveorride/dg_4022530
  11. Cheers. I only need this bike for the test anyway, then ima get rid of it
  12. Got a 50cc at the mo but I'm buying a 125cc soon to do my test on. Just wondering if there are any special requirements that the bike needs to do the test on. Obviously MOT, Tax and insurance. But my bike has knobbly tyres for offroading (Dt 125r) and wondered if that would make a difference? Also, do you need to prep your bike before hand or what? Thanks.
  13. the air filter, was full of thick black stuff dunno what it was lol.
  14. cleaned filter runs perfect now xD
  15. Never had this prob before but lately when I have been stopped and in neutral, the idle revs seem to keep going up and down about 500-1000 each way. I've made sure the bike is properly warmed up. Maybe I just need to adjust the idle speed? Why has it suddenly started jumping up and down?
  16. Yeah his speedo may be out then. The thing is that my 50cc will do about 45mph at the moment so theres not much point in me getting a 125cc if it only goes 60-65mph. That's not a very significant change.. It's a bit silly really that 125cc's have to be restricted to 12bhp, because most 17 year olds get their CBT licence when they are 16 so they have like a whole year to get used to the roads and stuff. I think 125cc's on a CBT should be restricted to something like 25-30bhp. I think this would be a more reasonable up-power.
  17. But my m8 is 17 and he has a YBR125 which does about 75mph. Doesn't this mean that it is over 12bhp?
  18. The specs say it has 12bhp but I don't know whether that means 12bhp when it is restricted or 12bhp when it is de-restricted.
  19. I might buy a new lexmoto texan125 which is a '59 plate but it says that it is restricted to 65mph. I have a CBT and am 17 so I can drive it fully de-restricted so does anyone know how to de-restrict it because it has 160mph on the clock. Can't find it out anywhere on the internet
  20. Really wanted to download it free because I won't be using it alot. Just wanted to have it handy for odds 'n sods. Thanks though.
  21. Need a workshop manual for the Yamaha tzr50 '03 plate. Looked everywhere on this site and others but can't find it... Please post a link to it or PDF download, thanks very much.
  22. SR125 is air cooled, putting water in might not be the best thing to do!! Oh yeah didn't know it was air cooled.
  23. I had kinda that same problem as this. Try letting the bike fully warm up before riding, like 5-10 mins or so. Also, putting fresh oil and water in it because this will help it to get around the bike quicker. Other than that, I'm not sure.
  24. Stalling is absolutly normal. I passed my CBT ages ago and I still stall my bike on the roads... Everyone stalls now and again. Not stalling will come with experience. If you can get to a bike before your next CBT, try and get a bit of practice in on a private area and just practice clutch control and slow movements. Good luck.
