  1. Not too bad a race, though this season, in the main, has been quite boring. Not a lot of action going on, much better today. And yes, the track was very much like Laguna. Parrish is old, the poor bloke!! Did well to get round before he forgot what he was supposed to be doing and had a nap ha ha ha ha
  2. Ha ha Dan. It was just the relative positions of the riders from both teams, and the fact that there have been big transfers between factories. Trying hard not to give too much away to anyone who not seen the race yet
  3. Was watching it just before i went out for a ride. Horrible accident and feel sorry for the poor lads that hit him also. RIP Shoya
  4. Its a good thing, they have only ever been about raising money. That has been proven by the fact they are switching them off now. No amount of cost would see them turned off, in this blame society, if they had anything to do with safety.
  5. This is taken directly from MCN this week, written by Kevin Ash Lesson We Can Learn From California "I'm writing this on a break in California, the home of advanced political correctness and litigation. If something goes wrong its never your fault, there's always someone you can sue. Its also very hot here, and sure enough, the roads are full of motorcycles, mostly big, heavy ones with Vtwin engines, and the home brewed badge, but plenty of others too. And even here, the riders are perfectly happy wearing T shirts, shorts, even flip flops, and certainly nothing like the anal British biker clad in 1.2mm of lined ox hide from neck to ankle, sweating and red, dripping unpleasantly and desperately uncomfortable. What is it with the British and safety? No where else in the world are riders so scared of themselves and other road users, and this despite us having some of the safest roads anywhere! Frankly, its embarrassing." I must say i agree with his view entirely. Wear what you feel comfy in, as long as you fulfil your lawful duty of wearing a helmet, properly fastened, you have done all you need to do.
  6. Half an hour from Chester to North Wales? Blimey mate, are you walking it?
  7. Agreed Mick, very shoddy. Rather show qualifying for a procession than an actual race. Load of cock
  8. Watch the Gp, Moto2, 125's WSBK, BSB. MotoGP is a little boring this year, not enough bikes on the grid. Lorenzo looks like the natural successor to Vale, was fast and can stay on it now. Stoner seems to be reverting to type, when he was on the Honda he fell off a lot. Moto2 looks good, exciting races, same with the 125's. The last 2 laps this weekend for first with 125's was awsome. WSBK's are very good this year, close racing, different winners. Max is coming strong at the moment, but i think Leon will come back at him. Don't count Rea or Crutchlow and Toseland out of a few wins either. Sky+ when i'm out and will watch when i get back
  9. Is that the bottom end of the road that collapsed? Was at the top end last year, an amazing sight. And the new pass they made looks a lot like Cheddar gorge
  10. Sure i've been there Derek, not a view you'd forget easily. Where is it exactly?
  11. Cheeky Git Been up there and will be going up there again this year. Will that be when you get the Fazer? Lookes like a cracking day out, shame i had to work today
  12. Was a superb day out, though i would like to forget the ride there and back as quickly as possible. The ride through the town , though, will stay with me for the rest of my life. All the banners of support, the applause..............Amazing!!! Cheers for the company Derek, was handy looking for your 'Bird in the mirrors all day, kept me awake ha ha ha ha Good to bump into you again Phil
  13. The magnets are plenty strong enough to grip onto your tank. Put a cloth underneath it as well to stop any scratches to your tank
  14. Givi top box and panniers are ideal. Also have a tank bag, get plenty of stuff in for week/weekend trips
  15. From the group organisers on facebook After the meeting today with the authorities and the unprecedented response from the biking community we have been asked to close registration one week early. It will unfortunately NOT be re-opening. We would like to reassure everyone that the ride IS GOING AHEAD WITH the FULL support of the police and local authorities. We have spoken to a few local businesses who are all looking forward to the day. ALL bikes will be riding through Wootton Bassett no matter what you may have heard. Plan details re: routes, times, wristbands, will be made available in document format soon. We have another meeting with the police next week to discuss the finer details. We can confirm that we will NOT be riding on any stretches of the motorway. We would like to apologise to anybody who has not registered however wanted to join us, we thank everybody for their patience and support.Thank you for your patience! Lizzie, Daniel & Julia
  16. I have the Alpinestars drystar jacket and trousers, best kit i have had in 30 years of riding. Worth every penny. Have had Heine Gericke stuff before and it doesn't come close to the Alpinestars
  17. Contact the school you did your CBT with, i'm sure they would be happy to give you a few hours tuition on a geared bike
  18. Registered for the run just in case i get a day off and can get to go
