  1. I have this in my wife’s Honda cb125r. Brand new bike that never works because the tracker flattens the battery every three days. Wish I hadn’t bothered because there is no difference on the insurance at all - although we’re not in a high risk area for theft so I guess that’s not always the case. Still I’d love it to be taken off the bike now.
  2. I agree with you fastbob, but on the cb125r what you’re suggesting actually is really difficult! The damn thing refuses to go into first if I’ve coasted up to say a roundabout in 3rd. I get the “—“ reading on the dash gear indicator and I’m stuck. It then either stalls or I manage to mcguiver it into neutral, then let the clutch out and then clutch back in and first. It’s a right pain tbh and coupled with the OPs pointed out engine breaking it makes the bike really hard to ride. Much harder than my mt07. My wife still loves it and it does look cool for a 125 but this issue does my head in.
  3. Yup my wife’s cb125r does the same. After about 100 miles you’ll be used to it and be riding smoothly again.
  4. I think the whole test process for bikes is flawed. Makes some money to cover their costs I guess but for road users, especially more experienced ones, the tests are rubbish in my view. Did that missed check over your shoulder in a car park make you a danger on the road? No. If they are checking you can handle a bike at low speed then check that. Don’t check observations when there is nothing to observe. It’s ridiculous.
  5. Hmm could have done with one of those this morning My old Richa textile jacket has given up on stopping the rain. And since I’m about to swap my Honda s-wing scoot for a naked Yamaha I’m guessing things are gonna get worse... v interested to know how you get on with the overalls..
