  1. Hi. I have a 2021 Honda CB125R which I keep off street in a rear yard for security. The yard gate is under 3 feet wide post to post. Getting in and out is a bit of a struggle. I have to lean the bike and quarter turn the bars to get it in and out. Advice required regarding retractable mirrors as its them thats more a problem than the bar ends. My little Yamaha YZF125R had folding mirrors and was a treat in tight spaces. Has anyone out there fitted and had success with retractables, that either retract up over or back. Info please where best to get some and female screw size would be appreciated. Regards.
  2. Eh up. Cheap lid. No chance of a repair. Chastsized. Pee taken out of me. Im off for a pint. See you tomorrow. Cheers.
  3. Hi. I have to agree, thanks for the advice. I bought cheap and Im now paying the penalty. Cheers. Granty.
  4. Hi all. Ive manged to break the visor latch on the above. Checked with supplier and no spares at present. Im hoping to keep using the helmet with goggles. With the visor off it looks similar to a motocross helmet without a peak. Any goggles users out there. I wear specs so I want some thing that will over the opening and not inside it. Advice would be greatly appreciated. Regards. Granty.
  5. Hi. Been down to pub had a couple of pints. Went out with a couple of quid and I've come back with £1.50, and a packet of chips. PS. Sold jeans for ninety quid. Regards.
  6. Hi. Wore em today on a ride. As yet nothing wrong at all. They were comfortable and the knee armour sits right on the knee. Nice deep pockets and plenty of strong looking belt loops for belt wearers. I described them as being slightly baggy. They are below the knee but they're better for it as the bottoms go over the top of my boots. I wear my bike trousers using braces as I can't get away with a belt when I'm sat on bike. I'm going down to pub in em tonight. Regards.
  7. PS. I've just been rooting in me bin and found some more details on the box. They're a Swedish firm. The postage was only £4.95 so they must have a UK warehouse.
  8. Hi. I went online and found this XL Moto site. I thought it was a UK firm but I think the jeans came from Germany. Delivery was nearly two weeks but we had a couple of strikes in between. They had some nice biking stuff in stock. They supplied tracking details so I could see them on their way. They were well packed and there was a returns label in the box. Regards.
  9. Hi. Just arrived, first impressions very good. Course Drift aramid lined jeans for warmer weather use. Came with hip and knee armour. Ordered my normal size and the fit is perfect. They're on the heavy side, only slightly baggy but really comfortable. They were on offer for £39.99 with a bit of postage, I'm well pleased. Regards.

    Over revving.

Hi. Thanks everyone. Because of what I've read I'm not overly worried about it now. Cheers.

    Over revving.

Hi. I've a 2021 Honda CB125R with the following problem. On a cold start the bike sits there at constant revs with no throttle inputs. However there has been a few times when the engine revs increase to about 300/400. After two or three seconds the revs drop off. A couple of times its done it twice before it reacts as normal. I'm using E5 fuel only. It doesn't do it when its warmed up. Anyone out who had the same problem and got it sorted. Regards.
  12. Hi. Got some of the above and just got a connection question. I could get a pig tail battery connection to the small batteries inside the glove. I've already got an Optimate connector from the battery in situ and I've also got a double USB adaptor power point from the battery. On the CBR to get to the battery means removing the seat, tank shield and releasing the front of the fuel tank to get to the battery. Ideally a USB to the small jack type plug in the gloves would work great. Finding the right size is a minefield and it looks as if China has them all. Advice from anyone who has sorted this and done a workaround would be greatly appreciated. Regards.
  13. Hi. Cheers everyone. Had a brilliant family day yesterday. Regards.
  14. Hi. Most Wednesday's I like to get to Fimber bike cafe. Today I had other things to catch up on. I'm a bit of an aircraft anorak and as I was looking through some 1971 Phantom F4 low flying video's I noticed the below on the navigators map. By coincidence I could see the villages around the Fimber area. Low and behold you can just make out Fimber middle right. Regards.
  15. Hi. I was hoping to take a left at the Peacock Pub in Snainton and go through Troutsdale and on to Reasty Bank but the road was closed for some reason. It does get a bit bumpy, the water splashes can be a bit slippery and the loose gravel seems to collect more on the corners.
  16. Hi. If you get out that way and get stopped by Larius you'll need a password. It's "Wolley Jumper". Baaring that you'll have a smashing ride out. Regards.
  17. Sorry. This might be a bit nearer.
  18. Hi all. Brilliant ride out today, Whitby to Egton Bridge and onto the Stape road and over the moors through Cropton. Onto the main road at Wrelton, through Pickering onto Scarborough and back home. Met Larius Lambus just above the Roman Road on the lookout for marauding hordes. Regards.
  19. In his last year at Man U Jose reported a burglary at the club. One of the reporters asked, "Did they get any cups". Jose replied, "No they didn't get into the kitchen".
  20. Hi. Fimber for me tomorrow. Cup of tea and a bit of pie. Looks like no probs weather wise. Bike freshly cleaned and ready. Some really nice bikes there last week. The eye catcher for me personally was a Kawasaki Z900RS in pristine condition. Regards.
  21. Hi there. There's a friendly group meet up at Fimber on the B1248. I'm not sure if it's an official group. They meet there at about 10am every Wednesday, weather permitting. and after refreshments they set off. I've seen them split into two separate groups when there's a lot of them. The riders are from around York and North Humberside. Last week they went to the garden centre at Cross Butts just outside Whitby. Regards.
  22. Hi. Thanks for the info. If the weather continues to improve I'm going to have a ride out Pickering way, there's a popular little cafe near the Flamingo Park junction. It was shown as open when I checked. Regards.
  23. Hi. I'm trying to find out if Fimber bike cafe is open for the season yet. It's on the B1248 just down from Seaways. Regards.
  24. Hi. This is a guess cos I'm a bit weak on mech issues. Could the the bike have gone into limp home mode to stop the engine from being overstressed. Regards.
