  1. Just found a PDF Manual for my Scoot. Reads - Crankcase : Rotating Part & Slider Part / Cylinder : Rotating part & Sliding part - Use 2 Storke Oil or SAE#30 "AUTO-Seperated Lubrication Drive Gear Box - SAE85-140 / TOTAL 110c.c Replacement 90c.c Gasket Of Starter Shaft - Clean Grease Starter Idle gear Sliding Parts - Clean Grease The 2 Stroke oil is full (topped that to line yesterday) So im guessing it can only be 1 of the other 3 things? Does any of that make any sence to you? (Thank you for your patients with me, im a novice when it comes to this kinda stuff)
  2. Do you mean as in the oil that goes into the crank / drive case? Or do you mean the oil i fill up that mixs with the petrol (its a self mixer, i dont need to mix the oil/petrol) I will add when i get it started it runs fine, reachs normal speed (about 45mph) its not lumpy or anything! Just the kickstart is super stiff / or stops when kicking it (When its returning to its normal position (as in going back up/back) its fine also! Only when kicking it down is it lumpy/stiff/sticking/stopping
  3. Took it for a 40min ride to and back from town, still seems "stiff / stopping" (Just to add, the scooter kickstart was fine before i covered if over the night before the snow came down) Any ideas?
  4. Alright guys + girls, So after having the Scooter Stood (Covered over with a sheet) because of the snow and ice i went to kick start it today. (Electric start only works when the bikes warm / Summer months for some reason) and the kick start has gone really stiff. It stops to a point my foot slips off it as kicking it, it will kick start but takes a few attempts and quite a hard "stamp" Any ideas what could be up with it? It wasnt like that before i covered it over for the snow etc and kick started fine and wasnt "stiff / stopping" Cheers
  5. Thats what i like to hear, So its just a case of taking the wires from my old unit, and connecting them to the new (UNI) unit.. Does the brake light connect to this also? Or is this ran to the brakeleaver itself?
  6. Yes thats what i think it is its not the wires but the Plastic switch that you press left / Right. With some luck the tester will think he has not pressed it hard enough. (IF it does fail is it a simple case of rewire a new Switchgear?!
  7. Hi guys been a while since my last post, hope all is well. Got a question for you. My Scooter is due for MOT next month (20th) And something gone wrong, Well i say gone wrong more like a 2 press event! My left hand side indicator seems to need 2 presses for it to work, when its on, its on and works fine (Works fine everytime also, never no more than 2 presses needed) And stays on untill i click to cancel the turn. Is this a MOT fail, If yes what could be a cure? iv checked wires in main wireloom for breaks, splits, pulls, tight etc and all seemed fine. Took it apart and gave it some "squirt" but still seems to be a 2 press event. Is it easy enough to wire in a universal switch gear? As in just replace the wires that have come from each switch? Thank You UPDATE 18th October So went to go out on my scooter today and checked basics and realised i had got NO left hand rear indicator! My front Left + Right Rear/Front all work fine! I took my bike to bits and checked wires coming from switchgear and connections were all fine! I also checked bulb with a working bulb and it still didnt work. The Front Left is now flashing twice as quick as the right set do. Could think be a "Earth" problem as it cant be the relay as the other side and front work? Any ideas? Cheers! Update 18th October V2 So after thinking sod it lets have a look, i found out the connection to the rear left had pretty much rotted away / Snapped so i rewired them, and guess what fully working! Proper chuffed with myself as i dont really know what im doing with bikes but im a qualified car audio fitter. So electrics is kinda my thing (in cars anways) Bit of a hassle getting to wires had to remove seat, both side panels, under seat storage, rear lights and under tray and grab handles. Cheers guys!
  8. Cheers boss, will pass the Websites/Numbers on
  9. My friend bought a Sanya Scooter (50cc) and today the Rear brake cable snapped? Iv been searching online with no luck it would seem to try find him a replacement? The Scooter is sanya SY50QT-3 50cc Does anybody know what the scooter is based on? or better still were i could maybe find a new brake cable?
  10. Sounds like the very same problem i had about a month or so ago, Drove me mad i posted on here and got some great help. I did everything from lubbing throttle cable etc and eventually i did the carb cleaner route, and its loads better, Iv found it uses a little more petrol now than what it used to (think it must of clean out jets etc, But runs loads better found it to be a little quicker also, But on a whole it dont play up no more, When its cold i still get the old "Holding Revs" for about 10 seconds, but nothing that will make the bike move! So maybe carb cleaning could be the thing you need to try there are loads of sprays out there! Or if your tech minded you could remove it completly!
  11. When i bought my scooter the seat lock was missing (had been broken into) and it now opens by the help of a cable tie. Will any (new/used) Lock work, if i link it up all (All the parts work as normal theres just no barrel) if that makes sence!? And if so can anybody point me in the right direction?! Thanks
  12. I replaced all my pads/shoes today (after about 12 diffrent sets) Stupid EBC Book is wrong, PGO brakes are (PIAGGIO SETS) Anyways replaced all pads/shoes with EBC Brakes! Well impressed with the diffrence from the "standered factory" to something a little better quality!
  13. SORTED (I hope) used the Carb cleaner today (Took it to bits) gave it a right blast, and then took it for a rip up the road, MINT! No more holding revs (for now anyways)
  14. Sorry for maybe a very easy question but, Were and what is the best ways to use carb cleaner? Some people have said spray into airfilter while running, others down the throttle opening? Which is best? And what would be the best way to use it? (Yes im still trying to sort out the Sticking/Holding revs on my PGO, And now trying carb cleaner) Thank you
  15. Took it for a run, And no real improvment Got a couple of pictures to show you what i mean, http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k196/scott_20uk/16122009051.jpg As you can see its inbetween 40-50RPM and theres nobody on the throttle, and the throttle is back to its starting point. http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k196/scott_20uk/16122009049.jpg About normal idle'ing a little bit high but thats what it goes down to after i hold the brake and give it a little rev. So im a little suck for ideas as to what to do next the problem is with it revving so high up it makes the scooter want to travel forward and this is not good if i forget to hold the brake! And some pictures from my out, Surfleet Church the Foundations have sunk and it now has a lean it dont really show you on the picture but attracts loads of people a year to see it, and a picture of the River Glen (Altho not very attractive, in the summer time it looks loads better and going fishing or a boat ride on it is mint) At the momment it looks that dirty you could walk on it, its also a little high due to the ammount of rain we have been having... http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k196/scott_20uk/16122009050.jpghttp://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k196/scott_20uk/16122009048.jpg http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k196/scott_20uk/16122009047.jpg
  16. Will do that about 2pm time, and come back with a report, May even take some pics from my little ride out! I notice when i turn it on it idles inbetween 10-20rpm but when iv gone down the road and opened the throttle fully it hangs at about 40-50rpm, and if i hold my brake in and rev it, sometimes the revs drop back down to about 15rpm! Will upload more about 3pm(Ish) with a report
  17. So today i tried to do the WD40/Oil of the Throttle cable, I got a couple of pics sorry about the quality! You get the idea and shows willing http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k196/scott_20uk/moped.jpg With the 2 Screws Out of the housing http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k196/scott_20uk/moped3.jpg Inside the housing, and appyed WD40 to were the cable was going.. So when i did that i kept working the throttle, and took it for a very quick ride up the road its still holding its REVS but i am going to have a drink and then go work it again, and see if its done the trick, Is there anything else i can Look for or try?
  18. I fitted a new plug today a NGK ® had it ordered from Linco's (Local parts place) So i will do that tomorow with pictures and see how i get on! Thank you once again and i will update again tomorow!
  19. Ok, Thank you for pointing it out, I will do it with pictures tomorow! Thank you for your patients, Im really not clued up with this its all abit new to me, Is there anything else i can check to make sure it releases its revs properly?
  20. Heres some pics (Excuse the frost, havent put my bike away yet) http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k196/scott_20uk/Picture007.jpg http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k196/scott_20uk/Picture009.jpg http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k196/scott_20uk/Picture008.jpg http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k196/scott_20uk/Picture006-1.jpg Hope thats what you was after, Any more pics i can take them!
  21. Yep sure, i will go outside now and get some more pictures for you! Hope they come out ok be about 3 mins!
  22. There should be a picture of the throttle cable also?! Am i to open the nuts up on that and oil it up down that? This picture - http://img63.imageshack.us/i/picture004wn.jpg/ Sorry for what may seem like a very easy problem im just not very bike minded
  23. Are we talking were the throttle is, that cable i put a picture up of just underneath it?
  24. Had another look at it and i opened the Airbox and theres 2 filters in there, a foam panel and then a HoneyComb looking one, Theres a Air inlet hole im guessing that were its sucked in from but the foam feels abit damp? Could this be affecting it? Also theres a rubber seal around the airbox also and that feels damp also! Were do i find the throttle link-age? if someone could describe from one of the pics i put up.. thank you!
  25. A couple of pics of what im guessing could be the problem? but were or what to spray? http://img94.imageshack.us/i/picture001gg.jpg/ http://img264.imageshack.us/i/picture002uw.jpg/ http://img692.imageshack.us/i/picture003fe.jpg/ http://img63.imageshack.us/i/picture004wn.jpg/
