My life in motorbikes……….. 1965 Honda CM90 – Pushrod model bought from teacher at school 1970 BSA Starfire – I thought a CD175 would be better but my mate persuaded me, he was wrong! 1972 T120V – Had porous barrel casting, sent back to Meriden to fix, took six months as next day they went on strike! Honda P50 – Better than the bus Suzuki B120P – Rode it from Yorkshire to Plymouth one night, via Wales for variety, swapped for a Humber Sceptre Suzuki GT500 – Not as nice to ride as the Triumph but always arrived Ossa 350 – So good it could climb trees Yamaha YB100 – Restored for my wife, she rode it once, bless her. Yamaha SR500 – Was an art form to kick-start BMW R650 LS – Nice bike but vibrated a bit 1985 BMW R80 monoshock – Beautifully made, big numb thing RD350 YPVS – Excellent machine, was raced by two lads on FS1Es, I lost but I doubt they survived to old age Norman Nippy – Not sure what I was thinking of VFR750 – Too heavy and too tempting to speed XBR500 – Hated the low bars and rearset footrests BMW CS650 – Had stood for 10 years and was home to old cobwebs and dead spiders Honda CB400SS – Single cylinder import – SS stands for Standard Single Tmax – So wide it was difficult to get feet down, very noisy screen Puch 50 – Never got it to run properly, turned out to be the ‘fixed’ timing was out. CN250 Helix – Now on my third, must say something about me VX535 Virago – Love the low seat, not so sure about the looks 1956 Rouge Lion Moped – I think I’m regressing back to childhood! GrahamH
