I have to admit, I do have an ongoing daydream of living in the USA and living the dream.
Currently dating a red haired Texan called Mary-Lou, who loves cruising mountain roads on a HD.
Are there many mountains near Haverhill?
I`ll get my coat.

Not making a profit !
Just heard on the radio that when Van Gogh`s Sunflowers was sold as the most expensive painting ever at Christies (a fair few years ago) it was bought by an insurance company for the art museum they were setting up in their h.q.
Couldn`t make it up ffs.

It might be worth reading @Tinkicker `s VFR restoration articles as he covered all aspects on this great machine.

@manxie49 Is the campsite at the trout farm in Kirk Michael still going? (Clearwater trout farm??).
We used to use that as a group with the bikes in a long wheelbase transit and it worked out very slightly less than scandalous if there were 5 or 6 of us going.

Oh good grief yes Toc 6 pots Arrgh ! ask anyone who has ridden a Busa!
Awful brakes best replaced with Triumph 2 pots or similar, strangely enough the calipers work fine on my ZRX which probably backs up the comments about Suzuki master cylinders.

I know you have probably tried it but leave it overnight with the lever held pulled in to the bars with a strap or tie of some kind and then see if it is better in the morning, sometimes this can encourage stubborn air bubbles to move.
Sorry for stating the obvious if you have already thought of it.

Yes the Harley indicator thing is amusing to say the least.
I am on my third Harley in the last 6 years and I still don`t get it lol.
I believe older BMW`s used to have the same affliction lol, hmm similar old school agricultural twins (scurries for shelter swiftly!)

Had my first ride on the Fat Boy today, which was also my first ever ride on a Harley. What a bike, I love it.
I'd read so much negativity about how they feel and handle but I found it an absolute joy.
It's the bike equivalent of my old Corvette Stingray.
Awesome amount of torque, too - it's no slouch.
It makes me grin like a Cheshire cat and is so much more comfortable than the CBR, and most importantly, is just as enjoyable plodding through a 20 zone as it is on higher speed sweeping bends.
Brilliant piece of hardware.
So pleased to hear you are enjoying it ! Yes the torque can be a bit addictive lol.
Are you still running std exhausts and air filter?
Hope you have many happy miles but please remember to secure it as much as possible, they are desirable to scumbags.

That`s a really good little socket set there but I would be willing to bet it could be even better if the 16mm socket was changed for a 14mm one.
Must say it looks a quality item though and along with a puncture repair kit and a multitool of some kind which had a bottle opener and a corkscrew you should be prepared for just about anything.

Hi Ian. Mine's a 2013 (Gen 1). The software is TigerTool. Might be worth a try.
Thanks for that.
Unfortunately Tiger tool is currently being updated to try and work with gen4 which is why I asked.
The guy who made it is on it from what I hear.
Thanks anyway.

A while ago, I bought a Bluetooth OBD tool to plug into the car and connect to my Android phone. Today, I plugged it into the Triumph Tiger Explorer and connected it to my Windows laptop. With the help of some software kindly provided on the Tiger Explorer forum, I reduced my service intervals (who goes 10k miles between oil changes?!) and reset the little service warning spanner on the dash.
May I ask what year your Tiger is? I could do with similar for my 2023 GT Pro.

I seem to remember hearing that the young hip things are apparently not using facefook anymore as it`s to much dominated by their parents generation.
Personally don`t know if that`s true as I never go there either.
