Hi, I was wondering if anyone had a pillion grab rail/bar for my Honda CBR600F4. I currently have a luggage rail kind of thing which I don't like and want to get the original rail but I can't find one anywhere that's in at least okay condition. Thanks Mark

Hi All I was down in Bristol last weekend and had some time to kill so called into Fowlers of Bristol to have a look. Seemed like a good place and I loved how many bikes where there and range of manufacturers. It made me wonder whether anyone knows of any similar places around the North West or neighbouring regions? It would be really handy having somewhere under one roof that sold such a wide range of bikes from different manufacturers. There is Millennium Motorcyle Centre near me who sell Suzuki, Kawasaki, Yamaha and a few other Chinese brands off the top of my head but just wondered if there was anything in riding distance even if it were under 2 hours away that would be fine. Fowlers had Triumph, KTM, Kawasaki, Honda next door, Yamaha, Husqvarna, Moto Guzzi, Suzuki, and Aprilia apparently but didn't see them. Was over 3 levels. Cool shop Thanks

Thanks both. The wonder of WD40 seems to have done the trick in terms of getting them working again for now. They're pretty poor indicators to be honest and I want to change them. I'm just struggling to find replacements that will be compatible

So riding back home yesterday I noticed the indicator light on the dash was flashing fast. Looked at front left indicator and it wasn't flashing at all. Rear one was flashing fast. I bought a new bulb and fitted it but no luck. So it seems something bigger. The indicators are aftermarket. I'm now really struggling to get it back on and it's just hanging off. It's just twisting the wires and not going on properly. Looking at it, it looks a bit shot at. I'm useless with anything mechanical, electrical or technical! However does anyone know what I can do? Is it best to get some new indicators? Is this a hard job. Just want it fixed! Only had the bikes 2 weeks Thanks

I think they tried to fix the original key but no luck at making it go back in again unfortunately. So I only have one new key now. Will get a spare one cut myself. May even get 2 extra just to he safe!

Yeah thanks. I'll take it pretty easy. Roads are taking a while to dry.

Pleased to say the bike is fixed and on it's way. Seems there was somehow some issue with the ignition from a previous broken key that they didn't see until they took it apart this morning. So the key that twisted was getting weakened for a while. Anyway it's fixed and the weather is improving and I've just taken delivery of my new shoei helmet which I love. Although I've just realised that all my gear is red and black so I sort of look like power ranger! All I can is that I'll be getting no work done this afternoon!!

Yeah I was absolutely gutted but these things happen. It was poring down all day and there were brand new tyres on it so I think I'd like to go out anyway when it was a bit drier. It's in the centre. I just think it was on it's way out and just bent when it was turned. It is weird though as I say.

Thanks very much. When the chap wheeled it out of the van earlier it was such a cool moment! It's strange it was supposed to come with two according to dealer but it seems the other one is a key you use to cut a new one if I remember right. They said they'd get two new ones cut anyway

But unfortunately it turns out the key is bent. Place I bought it from have taken it back to get a key cut. It's weird as it was fine this morning when they put it in but when I took it out it was bent and wouldn't go back in properly and unable to turn on ignition. Wouldn't go in the the fuel cap either (might have wrong name for that!). Anyway so hopefully they'll be back tomorrow with it fixed. I presume it's a straightforward process to cut a key that is bent? Bike is a '99 CBR600F. It's got 22k miles. It's not the bike I originally had in mind but due to insurance being so high I just wanted something cheap to start with and that I wouldn't mind dropping. Anyway hopefully will be sorted tomorrow. Weather has been awful today anyway!

They probably meant the 675, it's a much more sorted bike than the 600. That being said, I had a Triumph TT 600 (precursor to the Daytona 600), and that was actually pretty decent and not expensive, as it doesn't have a great reputation compared to the equivalent Japanese 600s. What about the 650? If you're looking to get a cheaper insurance quote you should go for a naked bike, they are always cheaper than a similar faired bike. Thanks. I've heard the 675 is overall better bike. It's just out of my price range really. Well more than for that money I could get an old street Triple. The only 650 I can see on auto trader has an British flag decal on the front which I personally hate. Yeah just haven't seen any that stand out for me if I'm honest. I might go back and take another look but nothings jumped at me. I hate to say I'm a bit of a sucker for a bike that looks good. Obviously other far more important parts and shouldn't care what bike looks like but guess I'm still a newbie!

How much was the insurance quote for a Daytona? Consider a GPZ500S its half a ninja engine & pretty rapid past 7000 rpm & only insurance group 8. Insurance was around £500 for TPFT and £900 for Comp.

So been having a look around for a few weeks and it seems Triumph Daytona 600 is a decent option. Fairly cheap bike and seems cheap to insure. Well it's not but compared to most it is. I know some people recommended Daytona as an option but just wanted to hear more about and whether they meant 675 or 600 or both. At moment don't know huge amount about the model. This bike is just something to own maybe for a year or two whilst my premium hopefully comes down but also to have fun. I'm riding my 2014 Chinese piece of crap 125 at the moment and although I still like going around the country roads and getting the thrill of getting up to speed (eventually) I really want something with a bit of oomph. Theres loads of bikes out at the moment in the evenings and its crap watching them leave me behind and old women over taking me as I can't get to 60 quickly enough!

The ironic thing is that where I live is a safe area. There is very little crime. Yes I don't have a garage but even with a garage I was only saving about £600. My postcode area is big though and covers a few different towns and neighbourhoods. Some affluent and some poor.

Great looking bike the CBR650R. A mate used to have a 500 and it was great. Just done a quote on the insurance for one and its £2.3k! Is that 2.3k for FC? Man, that would make me cry if I had to pay that for insurance for one year. Yeah for FC. Insane. I did pay £3.2k for insurance on my first car 10 years ago. Was a bloody fiesta!

Yeah you're absolutely right on that. I dropped my crappy little Chinese bike. Rode it in London for a year and was fine. Moved back up here, rode it on a roads up here. Was fine. 2 weeks later was at a lay by on a local a road and put side stand down and didn't see the crack along the surface. Bike went straight down as soon as I was off. Thankfully it was just a snapped clutch lever
